New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Watching sky sports this morning and saw that Cambridge United have unveiled plans to redevelope their ground. Been very quite on our own stadium situation.

Are season ticket renewal applications down ?

I ask this because even though it has been a disappointing season generally attendances seem to have held up well.

Not happening this. As if there was even a slim chance to start with, the absolute silence for months along with the Joe Beardwood "Everton don't need a new stadium" comments suggest that this one will fizzle out into another failure to add to previous failures

Speaking of silence, have the club given up on any sort of communication with the fans that doesn't involve selling tickets or kits. Talk about siege mentality

Someone linked this on twitter the other day which is supposedly the minutes of the quarterly meeting which happened in March 2015.

It basically says they haven't decided yet if they will proceed with the new stadium. Someone asks the time scale and they say they will have a decision in 9 months, and it also says they don't think it will provide much more income but it will future proof the club. They will sell the naming rights and the site Goodison is on to help fund it.

This is why Elstone needs to buck his ideas up

He also noted that any new stadium is unlikely to generate a huge increase in revenue for the Club. Indeed the value is considered marginal but what is important is the future proofing that a new stadium will bring.

What does he mean 'huge' even a 10% increase is big to this club as its underperformed in commercial income.

Personally think that buffoon should be given the chop and get someone who can do the job in.

Commercially is were we're really starting to fall short

The money we'd have to find for the repayments would have to come off our revenue, means our transfer budget or wages budget decreases so we become less competative

This is if the financial planning isn't very good. We're in an era of RECORD LOW INTEREST RATES and low inflation!!!

If they can't do it now they are simply incompetent.

I think its BS to claim its not doable. If its not doable now it never will be.
