Always find it a bit embarrassing when the club post things like this. Other clubs tend to have stars like Ronaldo regularly visiting their grounds in competitive games. How sad is it that the only time he played at Goodison had absolutely nothing to do with Everton?

The culture of the club.

We had a chance to qualify for Europe any of 3 competitions. We collectively as a club (not fans) chose to shy away from qualifying, too much too soon, squad not ready, we need to build the squad up over a few more transfer windows.

There's a stench of a lack of urgency, safe, risk averse mediocrity running through the club.

So another year without European football. Follows the previous decade. Then it becomes the norm. Like not winning trophies. It's normalised that we don't hit those levels. So why frett?


That's why we don't get those big games and big name players here.

Thanks. I was waiting on this! Modern stadia need to adapt in order to attract events such as this. That’s why they all have LED boards everywhere. You can put whatever you want on them depending on the event. All brings in money. The days of stadiums sitting idle for months on end is absolutely over. All of this is fine and you know it. Proud to see so many England events at our amazing stadium. We need something positive after our club let us down. Hopefully our country can do achieve something special instead.
