Spurs' is obviously better than ours as a compete package but we still get ranked as the 2nd best in the league to the people who matter and aren't completely biased. So perhaps he went slightly overboard and you've gone lower than the actual by just describing it as a great step up?
Without the TH stadium as a comparison, ours is the stand out in the league. Spurs were able to build that stadium due to it being in London and the difference in wealth there and they had the NFL and CL football as extras to go into the decision makimg pot when they were designing it. In reality we could never compete with their fit and finish, especially when inflation and interest rates sky rocketed between the builds.
