New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Any idea what`s causing the problems / is it just sheer wait of numbers ?

Every game I`ve been to, it seems to be the same for the Southport train !
Tbh I've nwver waited more than 10 minutes for a Southport train.

Always found the trains heading south to have big ques but no real wait for the Southport line

Further "Everton want to acquire the neighbouring Nelson Dock, which is currently derelict, and deliver more transformation (which may also require tons of sand from the bottom of the sea to fill it in). The aim is to extend the club’s footprint and provide additional hospitality and leisure facilities."
[NFL not completely ruled out.]
Brilliant news!

I love the new stadium but it clearly needs better thought behind the fan experience.

The biggest issues are:
Pricing
Transport
Toileting

Pricing
When you build a £800m stadium you have to recoup that so I understand the club have to adjust prices but honestly I paid £71 for a Derby ticket which is obscene.

It's supply and demand but I think the days of the People's Club are long gone.

Giving the food, drink and ticket prices how can a family afford to take the next generation of Blues.

It's short term profitting with long term damage when the Premier League bubble bursts we'll have priced out supporters for profits.

The club needs to address the costs in-house to fill the stadium and create a better atmosphere especially when we'll be playing 2 or 3 Saturday 3ko games and mostly on weekdays and Sundays if we get Europe which will be another £60-70 a game to add.

We should be front runners of pricing.

Transport
We all know the issues by now and we have gotten slightly better but we need to invest to make this stadium more accessible for all.

That cycle lane is such a waste on a matchday surely we can repurpose that for match games into a tram or bus to help ease the traffic.

Hopefully regeneration of further docks will add links to the city centre and make it easier to get and away from the stadium.

Toileting
That South stand needs more bogs not rustic artisan food.

There are more sinks than pissers.

Bring back piss troffs!

Agree with all that except the bogs. By us in 08 towards the middle of the Lower South theres a tiny bog with about 8 pissers which is strange to say the least and always a queue. Walk 20 seconds towards 06 and theres a massive bog with loads of pissers and always in and out. Not ideal but no big problem from my experience anyway.

Said it before many times: we have one of the poorest (if not the poorest) fanbase in the country. There's a cost of living crisis going on, so it's not surprising we've seen empty seats in a brand spanking new stadium even in its inaugural season.

They've been lucky that they've opened it in a period when the competitive quality of the PL is terrible and even we can make headway up the table. That's bought them a bit more interest than if we'd had a 'normal' season for us of late. But if we have a bad season the wheels will come off this pricing structure.

The stadium is more than fine; spectacular in fact. It deserves all the compliments it receives. However, functionally it's just a pile of bricks the club are using to price gouge their own fanbase, which is unforgivable.

The cycle lane bit is spot on.

There are big Queues at all the upper south men's bogs, with nowhere near enough urinals in any of them for prematch, nevermind HT rush. Lots of empty wall space and a ridiculous ratio of hand basins in each. You also cannot easily walk from the southwest corner to the south east corner because of all the toilet queues..... so it isn't easy to find alternatives. Yes, more availability on Eastern side, but that's not much use if you cannot get there easily.

Funny , the only fans i hear complain about the competetive quality of the Prem are that lot over the park.
Yet last season they won "der best league in der werld "

Anyone outside of their weird little world just needs to take a look at the table to see this season ( where anyone can beat anyone ) is the most competitive that its ever been.

You're dividing the words 'competitive' and 'quality' there.

The two go together for my point.

You can have competition without quality, and that's what we're seeing the last few seasons.

I doubt anyone would argue that the PL hasn't cratered in terms of quality of football and especially at the top end of the table.

Problem with the PL for me now is the bitty and stop/start nature of it.
Interupted every few weeks for a fortnight of basically meaningless, one sided money making games that sap the league of any continuity.
OK, maybe the world cup groups are palatable but chuck in the Euros and Nations and it becomes a farce.

Game is bad enough now with monday and sunday stupid o clock games without this international dross. Money, money, money. Sod the fans.
