New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

People love to highlight the rare daft prices, but most games this season - certainly the past 5/6 - it's been cheaper to get a ticket via Seat Unique than buy a membership + ticket at Everton.

Reminds me of StubHub - 15 games a season you could get a ticket for well below face value, but everyone cry arsed over about 3 idiot listings for the derby as though it was the standard.
I've bought twice from Seat unique and manged to buy from the club twice (for some reason manged it without a membership). For the United game the tickets were £72 I had a programme and a pint with that. Which works out probably marginally better then a face value ticket anywhere in the ground. And that was without having to buy a membership.

I bought Wolves tickets direct from the club and had I gone with SU I'd have had a better deal there too.

Yes, programmes and concessions too. I thought it great value! I couldn't speak more highly of Seat Unique. It's not Seat Unique that are a swizz - it's the membership requirement. That's a disgrace as far as I am concerned, a fan who can only see a handful of games a season.

This....
When resale tickets start at £70 , £35 membership on top £100+ for a ticket...

Ive paid between £50 and 85 for all my tickets, which isnt bad when £10 of that is a voucher for food, and £4 for a programme.

I get what you guys are saying re: certainty of tickets and comparisons with resale plus membership costs, however how did we get to the point where paying £85 - £100+ is seen as good value for going the match 😩

Don't get me wrong, I'm an old arse stuck in the past but it's just extortionate.

Assume you got some F&B vouchers and programmes too.

There's a definite place for Seat Unique - offering fans the opportunity to buy with certainty for one off games. As long as you restrict the amount, it works. Its why so many clubs use them.

I think the biggest problem with them at the stadium is they cloud the real issues around ticketing - people just blame Seat Unique for everything.
As an occasional visitor from Glasgow, SU is perfect to guarantee a ticket and then organise hotel to suit, went to Wolves game through SU in East stand which include £10 voucher and programme for £89,was going to be down Liverpool a few weeks later anyway so arranged for same tickets as before for Bournemouth match at same price(£89) week before coming down received email from Seat Unique saying they were going to upgrade tickets to Village Street in West stand to let us experience that level of the hospitality!!

Great seats and enjoyed both experiences with the second one giving the free bar and food was obviously a bonus!

From a selfish point of view it's a perfect option for me.

Does anyone know if “Club View” tickets via seat unique allow you to wander round the concourses to other areas of the ground like the south stand?

I have a ticket for club view but would like to mingle with other friends with tickets elsewhere.

I’m in Club view, I think you’d have to walk across to the exits in the sections either side to access that level.

Oh its not
But im pointing out that when you take off the food and programme it comes down to more like £35-70 which isnt too far off what prices used to be...

I remeber my last season ticket costing £735 (I think) which was about £38 a game

We got to that point because the money men have turned "the match" into "an event". It means people who used to go every fortnight are now, basically, required to take out a second mortgage, and those of us who can only go now and again accept the cost in much the same way we would going to a concert or show.

I suppose the truth is we would still be watching the Canon League and the likes of Dave Basset's Wimbledon if we were paying old-school prices. All those expensive foreign technicians that light up our pitches don't pay for themselves...

on your last point, not at all, we are being scammed

the average cost of a bundesliga ticket, including vat and transport costs is 28 euro, or £24

admittedly there is less money in bundesliga, but they also don’t receive anywhere near as much cash as premier league clubs do in england. so they have much lower revenue streams but can still afford to keep prices low. and their top sides are competitive in european competition, with bayern, dortmund, leverkusen and frankfurt all either winning or making european finals since the turn of the decade

we need a ticketing price cap for home matches. and we need large scale protests and walk outs, empty crowds to really hamper the brand, players then saying how bad it is playing in empty stadium and that fans should be listened to etc, otherwise nothing will change for the better

In tv revenue this should say, but can’t edit now

I agree with people's points about Seat Unique, being in the same situation (abroad and effectively only able to pick from a few games in a season). The only negative (and I went and had a look at their section) is that I would prefer somewhere near the South Stand. I was in the SW Upper corner for the match I went to (got a membership ticket) and near the front it was fabulous, with the bars, the view through the windows to the centre, and of course the view from the seats.

Now try getting a ticket. Just looked at Bayern's site (it's the closest). Nothing available unless you want to go to a women's game. Viagogo are selling single tickets for €440 upwards.
