New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Yeah, they're so desperate to give them away that they've been selling them at an inflated supposed "face value" for the last few years, instead of asking for the price they paid they fleece fellow Evertonians for what they'd pay if it wasn't the heavily discounted STH rate.

I've only seen touting in any volume in the last couple of years at Goodison. I haven't seen any more recently. I have had my season tickets for almost 50yrs and have had 4 family season tickets for approx 20yrs. They're all adults now, but for much of that time I often couldn't give tkts away, nevermind sell at face value.

Dunno if you've heard of it mate, but there's this forum called "Grand Old Team." People on there often talk about not being able to give tickets away, but when those who actually do want to give them away post on the ticket resale thread, they're taken.

As far as I can see, there hasn't been a drop off in resales, there's just been a huge increase in STH's listing their tickets for resale.

I should probably confess that when I say "as far as I can see" I'm just making it up as I go along. Like you are.

I'm not making anything up.... I use the resale site a lot as I often need additional tickets, as do several in my group who work away. It's not hard to check.

Actually, I've sold and given lots away precisely like that many times in the past, but and still got no takers on occasion. Especially if last minute, as is often the case. You might not have noticed, but for years Goodison wasn't always full.... and with this place, they say its full when increasingly it isn't.

The most sensible sentence in this debate.

STH's are hugely priveleged. They have a gauranteed seat for every single game, at a heavily discounted price compared to those who are buying tickets game by game. If they can't/don't want to attend a game here and there and their seat is empty/given away for free, they're still making a saving over the season. Yet all you see is them cryarsing coz they can't find desperate fans to palm their tickets off on for the difficult/unfashionable games.
Where we privileged in the 90s/2000s when we were parting with our money every season even though we were watching absolute shyte and the likes of you didn't even spend money on a half season ticket which was available then? Some of your comments slating season ticket holders when you've probably never dedicated yourself to the club like they have is laughable. If you want to go to a game get in the queue and pay the fairweather fan premium and leave the loyal fans alone.

Haven't seen anyone say it's full tbh, it's clearly not - anyone with eyes in their head can see the empty seats. I've seen the club post "attendance" figures, suggesting it might be a sell out, but anyone with half a brain knows that figure is the number of seats sold rather than the number of people who walk through the turnstiles.

Superbloos. How come none of you sing Mick? Ground's like a morgue most weeks. Oh yeah, that's the daytrippers' fault too isn't it.

By "they," I meant the club.

So STH's don't wanna go the Bournemouth game on a cold, dark, wet night in February for valid reasons, but expect 30k people to be snapping up their cast off tickets? Just coz you're on the waiting list doesn't mean you're desperate to get to every game or don't face the very same issues that lead those STH's to not want/be able to go.

See what your saying mate, the issues remain but those issues aren't standalone - fatigue/availability is a factor too. As is cost - people on the waiting list, who haven't been a game, are more likely to go the odd game.

Take me - I might be able to skive work once or twice for midweek games but the amount of them makes it tricky. If I didn't have a season ticket and was on the waiting list, I'd be more inclined/available for it.

I've been very surprised by the availability of tickets on resale - especially remembering clubview and others can't even list on it. It doesn't really stand up against the claims of how vast a season ticket waiting list is.

You’d think the powers that be would have noticed how some teams have struggled initially moving into a new stadium and done everything to make it feel like ‘our home’. Nothing could be further from the truth. You’d be hard pushed to know it was Everton football club who played there, if you sailed up the Mersey for the first time. Inside is even worse, no branding on the seats, some of the concourses looking very bland and to top it off the awful football on show this season. Must do better in all areas next season.
You won’t see branding on the seats sailing up the Mersey
