If it was that I cant blame the fans giving coppers grief. They should be arresting the people who made ordinary working class people fork out £60+ for a ticket to watch Everton in that first half.

What about the fifty one thousand who did fork out?! There’s nothing socialist about cheating your way in, then abusing and belittling those who try and ensure a level playing field, it’s the opposite of socialism.

Totally agree, people in the media keep peddling this idea of Goodison being a "fortress". You look at the last 3 seasons at Goodison, we won between 5 and 8 games at home, we have won 4 so far and have 7 games left to play at home. We will probably get between 5 and 8 home wins in total again this season. I am not saying its good, but people shouldn't be massively surprised.

i don’t get how you could see that these flags have used for displays the past few years and not think theyre needed

they have unscrewed the flags from the poles

its theft and i hope theyre caught by the club

no ban if they return the flag and make a fairly decent donation to the cause

I think the ‘fortress’ bit being used is just a bit of a misnomer and they’re confusing fortress with GP often having a bit of bear pit atmosphere. Lots of former player (for and against) have made that point, think those balloons on Sky just think it sounds better despite being fairly inaccurate.

I never said it was socialism.

But if that seat is going begging it shouldn't lead to a massive deal and stewards running to get coppers involved.

Can you imagine, standing there arguing with a police officer trying to do his job, with possibly hundreds of people looking on.
