Not sure where you get the impression a Saudi-type takeover doesn't work now.

The perennial no marks have won a trophy and been in CL football since they took over and allowed them to keep players and pump some cash in.
If it works now, and TFG got the club for a song, that means it would have worked last December. Yet no sovereign wealth fund stepped up.

If you drill down into it - they are spinning plates, it’s not gifted money, it’s selling assets like the ground to themselves and they like Villa have to sell a player every summer.
We saw Anderson, Minteh and Isak go to stay on the right side of the law, they are struggling to maintain now - because they cant receive Angel investment and income has to be self generated.
They were initially buoyed by good decision making in Isak, Bruno and one or two others - fair play and you need that also- but they have grown their cost base significantly recently in wages and amortisation and finding it difficult to maintain and get quality for quality replacements when the need to sell - they have replaced Isak with Wissa amd the like, depth is paper thin and the wheels as seen this season have started to come of a bit.

They will have to sell big again this summer, id guess one of Bruno, Tonali or Hall Livamento goes - they as ive been saying cant generate enough revenue to maintain - its the only show in town.

Keith Harris backed Vici capital/Vatche Manoukian.

Bellwhiff & Downing

Both bid according to reports.
I repeat my question, who?

Not to be disrespectful to those guys who probably have more money than most of us will have in our lifetimes, but they are not as well financed as TFG and they are certainly not a sovereign wealth fund, which our board financial analyst assumes are waiting in the wings.

You can't really say that another bidder might have appeared as that's just totally unprovable. What is proven is these guys appeared and were prepared to buy us.

I'm not sure what era of the game you think we're in, but it's all about monetising the asset now. You may not like it and that's totally your call, but this is the reality of the modern game.

We got left behind at the start of the premier league era, this is now a golden opportunity for the club, we can't get left behind again.
Mate, that's why he said it.

They've won a grand total of 1 Mickey Mouse Cup for that money.

Let's revisit what you said about that cup at the time..... Oh yeah

There's two trophies worth winning for elite clubs: The PL title; the CL.

The club has had its period of stability, it’s time to move on from the past and look forward, especially if we get Europe this season. We can possibly attract higher calibre of players, aim to finish higher than this season and look to win a trophy.

Thats what I hope for anyway.

What specific evidence can I provide that will satisfy,Other than emailing George Downing to see his current account ha.

They could afford to do that and take any pain in that respect because they know they got a club on the cheap whose shares they paid about £25M to Moshiri for.

In any case: they structured the debt, they're not paying it own: Everton fans are paying off the interest on it....not just through tickets but the whole commercial kit and caboodle of stuff that fans are the ultimate generators of.

There's no sugar daddy or even straight shooter owner turned up here. We have American owners who will seek to turn everything onto the fans to pay for and leave with an almighty profit.
Tell me, since you refused to answer this last time: How much more were other capable buyers willing to pay?

They're struggling because Eddie Howe isn't good enough
