Currently one place behind AS Roma in the value leagues and with a higher ceiling, I’d argue. No BMD reflect in those numbers.

I refuse to believe that TFG aren’t in this for the long term and to optimise revenues so we break into the ‘value’ Top 20. Assuming so, I’m confident that will flow through to what we see on the pitch over the next 5 years.

The boast by the Gasman in his letter yesterday about ST renewal sitting at 97% was also a goad and a snide reference to ambitions.

He was basically saying: "You're signing up to this level of performance in droves, so you must be ok with the product. We have nothing to answer for here".

That's the subtext.

Stuff about underperforming managers and table positions failing to be reached mean nothing to these people. The bottom line does. This season has been a good season for them.

Dont underestimate how cynical these people are. They dont care one jot about this club; they're here to flip it ASAP from a massive profit. Just that.

And he's right.

These people are capitalists. As you say, all that matters to them is the bottom line. Will people pay for this swill? If so, it's perfectly adequate swill. And Evertonians have shown, once again, that they are prepared to swallow all manner of swill accompanied by an overpriced blue donut.

Nil Satis Nisi Profitline.

He's right, though. There was a poll on here a while back about renewing season tickets and everyone was claiming they wouldn't renew. I said when it comes to it, people will bottle it and renew anyway. That turned out to be spot on.

People like to bitch and moan, but ultimately will never vote with their wallets, because they are "happily dissatisfied".

Not necessarily. This is the biggest Everton forum online and the 3% of non-renewers thus far numerically is a thousand plus and they could have voted in that poll on here.

It's a tough situation for supporters to make their point. Giving up a ST is by no means an easy decision as it is something that spans from before to after ownership and managers. He should know its not a good measure of fan satisfaction and only points to another example of him lacking awareness.

Can't speak for ST holders themselves but if I were one I wouldn't give it up. I'd just not buy blue doughnuts or other merch I reckon.

97% must be up with the very highest in the league. Unbelievable, Jeff.

To be fair, if you’re TFG and you’re seeing those kind of numbers, you’re probably thinking, if it ain’t broke…

3% sounds a little far fetched to me, thought there would have been more, I renewed, but if I knew what swill was coming the last seven games, that total capitulation, I may have had second thoughts. Thought Moyes having initially done well getting us to that position after beating Chelsea, but what followed was truly awful, Dyche levels of incompetents, his unwillingness to try something different, his stubbornness, playing Tarkowski alongside Keane, two Tug boats together killed us in the end. He had options, he obviously doesn't fancy Patterson, but all he had to do was move Obrien inside to his natural position, more pace in the middle and move Garner to right back. The warning signs were there once Grealish was injured, playing centre mids on the wing, when we had wingers in the bench, hardly ever changing personnel, the players were shattered near end of Season. Sorry for turning that into a Moyes thread, but if the same happens this year I'm done I can't justify that spend for so little end result, no cup runs, 13th place with a £120m spend and when you think 9 Premier league teams played in Europe last year, three of them got to finals, next year is the same, this safety first, try an Nick a goal is killing us.

I agree.

And even allowing for 97% renewal, that's still a lot of fans turning their backs on a new stadium for whatever reason: price/accessibility/time of KO etc.

When did the renewal period begin from?

Yeah honestly I've not heard more 💵 cks from people who aren't season ticket holders. I've had mine for 40+ years I'm not giving up because of dreary Dave. The fact is if you give it up you're not getting it back. Does it mean I'm happy about situation -100% I'm not. It's not like the 80's when you could just rock up without a ticket and pay on the turnstiles to get in. Then you could judge people's dissatisfaction by ground numbers. Now with a big waiting list season ticket renewal isn't connected to dissatisfaction in any meaningful way and people spouting this argument are frankly talking rubbish.
