Appreciate the sentiment however it will probably be deliberately twisted as “entitled”and seen as “forgetting the last few years “ .

You only have to read all the “look at West Ham” narratives in response to people wanting Moyes gone, despite the fact they hired two managers after him .

It’s always the same tactics when fans get upset and angry over the clubs lack of anything successful.

It’s why I struggle to sympathise with some because they simply repeat the same negative and sly crap every year.
The media don't half rush in to echo the 'be careful what you wish for' sentiment too. Its such easy content for them and they've been trained to do it by Kenwright, Moyes etc.

three!

It'll be very obvious how they see the club based on how this summer goes. If Moyes is still here come August (and I think it very likely that he will be) then we'll have our answer in that they see us as nice easy little asset for their portfolio but not one to be heavily invested in or tampered with. So long as we keep on keeping on, and remain a PL club with all that lovely tv money coming in and all those sucker fans fighting to get into the stadium, its all good. Doing well and winning would be a nice bonus for them but not a major concern to be stressed over or anything.

This is my fear.
They wont be flipping us
But if the crowds are coming through the gates, they wont change much either.
And Moyes is not voluntarily going anywhere this time.
This is why I feel that it's really important that this summer, the Evertonians visible online (podcasts etc) kick up stink.
If we keep moyes, he'll likely get us top half. It'll be enough for them to give him a contract extension and before you know it 5 more years have passed and we'll have come nowhere close to winning anything.

100% this.

I'm sure Moyes will go at the end of next season. Not because they have aspirations beyond that but because its an easy win for them with fans. If they keep him for next season, they avoid any pay off and can easily replace him with someone exotic sounding but who will be equally uninspiring on the pitch. I can just see them letting Moyes go at the end of 26-27 and them putting out some BS statement about "listing to the fans" before they appoint the Italian equivalent of Moyes!

Yep, if Moyes is here and we've signed a bunch of reliable plodders then we can assume the plan is just to hang around like bad smell whilst providing a space for rugby, international football, concerts, boxing, anything really to add some extra income.
They've got until September 1st to prove that isn't their plan. If it's the status quo by then we'll have our answer. After all happily dissatisfied Gus told us it was a "two window plan".

The danger is that after the first couple of wins on the bounce the new contract will presumably be announced.

People keep saying Everton aren't ready for Europe, that our squad’s too thin, and blah blah blah. But then you look at that Palace side that just won the Conference League.

Dean Henderson
Chadi Riad
Maxence Lacroix
Jaydee Canvot
Daniel Muñoz
Adam Wharton
Daichi Kamada
Tyrick Mitchell
Ismaïla Sarr
Yéremy Pino
Jean-Philippe Mateta

Substitutes
Remi Matthews (GK)
Walter Benítez (GK)
Nathaniel Clyne
Jefferson Lerma
Chris Richards
Borna Sosa
Rio Cardines
Will Hughes
Justin Devenny
Brennan Johnson
Evann Guessand
Jørgen Strand Larsen

Sure, they finished below us in the league, but they weren't looking over their shoulders at relegation, and now they’ve booked their ticket to the Europa League next season.

The likes of Bournemouth, Sunderland, or Brighton could well be next in line to copy Palace's blueprint for success.

Let's face it, Everton just isn’t a big club anymore—at least not for this generation. All that history people cling to? It’s fading away, getting swallowed up by time.

At this rate, Everton is nothing more than just a team with the newest stadium in the Premier League...

The Friedkins were happy to back Dyche before Dyche told them hes incapable of getting anything more from the squad.

There's no chance they're sacking the dinosaur Moyes.
