Ive been generally concerned about their apparent lack of interest and I’m not trying to be an itk because I’m not . However there were definitely figures from ‘the Friedkin group ‘ here at the weekend as they stayed relatively local .

Ive no idea who they were specifically but they were open about their collective identity .

They have representatives from the group at every home game. It is just Dan and Ryan that have not been to a game

Unfortunately I just can't see them undermining Kinnear in his first year in the seat by punting Moyes themselves, so we've got another season of this ahead at least..
I don't think there is any way they could undermine Kinnear. He is their mouthpiece. What he said was their perception of Moyes.

They are clearly content with mediocrity and tending their investment in the safety of mid-table obscurity. There is nothing to suggest they have plans other than to keep us ticking over, possibly for a timely flip.

They stabilised our finances and improved our commercial side to some extent. Credit to them for that. But there has been precious little from them on the football side. Their idea of a statement was Jack Grealish on loan. Last summer was an unprepared mess. They could point to some mitigating circumstances then (their competent professionals were still on gardening leave), but they'll have no such mitigations this summer. No, the progress of a World Cup that everyone has been planning for since 2022 does not make it a "difficult" market.

I have little faith in these guys as they seem to think the likes of Kinnear and Moyes are good enough for us. By the end of June, any last vestiges of hope will have been extinguished or rekindled. We will know how the market is likely to go by that point - and who is dominating our recruitment. If it's Moyes, abandon ship.

Begining to think your point about a timely flip is correct. Naively, I thought when they became owners, they did so because they were committed to restoring some success. In the time since, all we have had as a fan base are platitudes from our CEO. There is no clear sign of their commitment to our development. Any serious organisation investing such an amount of money in the purchase, would be aware of our dreadful past 30 years of mismanagement and would recognise the need to reassure the fan base with some details of the plan besides stability.

I do not see that happening.

Think he'll get another season but will have no hesitation getting rid IF they spend in the summer AND the results are same as this season.
"If they spend..." no indication from TFG that they are going to spend big...I'll be surprised if we spend more than 60 millions net this summer. And I guess thats why moyes will get another season at least and possibly a new contract...pl survival insurance there for the owners.

We must be the only club in the league that hasn’t at some point in the Prem era rolled the dice on an up and coming young manager who was an unknown quantity in the league/country.

- Edit maybe Newcastle too.
Moyes was pretty unknown when he first arrived and definitely an up and coming manager.

Certainly wasn’t new to the country though.

Yep, loads of interest in him. He said himself that Wednesday approached him in 2000, while they were still in the Premier League. West Ham and Southampton also talked to him in 2001. As well as Forest before joining us. He even applied for the Birmingham City job but they rejected him and got Steve Bruce instead.

Would say it all about this new ownership if they don't sound out some top managers that are available especially Iraola and instead give Moyes a new contract. Would show zero ambition. Happy just not to be in a relegation scrap and that's it. How depressing.

TFG had Iraola as their first choice last year apparently and now 12 months down the line with his stock even higher they can get him for free so I don't get why they wouldn't make a move for him.

The Bobble said that he would be open to talks with us, it seems a no brainer to me.

TFG sold us a pack of lies, I thought we were getting a professional and ambitious set of owners but all I can see we've really got is Kinnear running it the same way Blue Bill did, give Moyes all the power to do what the hell he likes without consequence.

Bobble issued a brief which looks like it could have come from the club saying that everyone at the club is behind Moyes, so we can expect many more years of this dour cowardly football whilst the value rots out of all our young players.

I hope for the sake of the club going forward that this is all true and that TFG have made an approach/offer.
