He has spent over a billion at Arsenal and if he wins nothing this year and gets sacked why would you want him at Everton?
Because he does very well without too much risk. He may not have won the league but has has not made a mess of it either. Maybe a more aspiring manager than the one we have while still a safe pair of hands.

I think years of mediocrity has clouded people’s judgement of these tbh. Since coming in they almost immediately got rid of an underperforming manager and replaced him, hired a new CEO, hired an entirely new football operations department, spent a decent amount in the transfer window and secured multiple lucrative sponsors that will help elevate us in coming years.

I know the proof’s in the pudding and we’ll see if they truly have any ambition in the coming years but to suggest they’re merely here to tread water and keep us mid table is a bit harsh at this point tbh.

Don't speak sense on here bud, not allowed.

And they left all their clubs on their own accord?
Iraola was sacked from his first club and then chose to leave the next 3.

Glasner also chose to leave his clubs but I think one may have been mutual consent.

I’d rather have a manager that doesn’t just view us as a stepping stone for a year or 2 and will stay to build long term success.

Because he's a good coach who'll raise standards perhaps?
There are many coaches that could raise the standard given a billion quid to spend.
As for being a good coach for me the jury is out on that one.
They may still win the league but if they do it will be with the most dour football played by champions for many years.
When he went to Anfield and parked the bus earlier in the season summed him up for me ,not the actions of someone who truly believes in his team.

That’s the ideal of course but I would 100% take a manager who stayed here 3 seasons, won a couple of trophies, and then fell out with the board and left of his own accord. I’d take that over any of these never ending project managers that don’t ever get over the line.

Obviously everyone wants their own Ferguson or Pep who’ll stay for ages and the good times follow but I don’t want another 10 years of continuous building to 7th place.

We need a manager who can take the ebxt step and get us in the CL and winning trophies over the next few seasons. If that Moyes then great, if it’s not then we need to find who it is.

I'm trying to think what radically better they could have done so far. Kinnear was hired specifically because he's known to be able to maximise income and this club has been poor in that respect, like, always. All of the squad rules are based on revenue so the better it is, the better the team can be. Stadium is the big one but even if Kinnear can squeeze just 20m more annually that could have considerable impact on the squad.

Even if they were here to make a profit making the team a perennial Europe team would be good business.

And let's not forget what the situation was when they came and what the squad situation was last summer.

He's chosen to batter ST holders when it doesn't raise that much extra revenue.

That's because he's been unable to monetise the stadium in terms of non-sports events. The fans have been made to pay for that.

He recently got in a "business president" from British Gas. Guess what he was good at?

The commercial contracts Kinnear has done have been like shooting fish in a barrel because we have a high profile new stadium to sell to "partners".

His relationship with Moyes has been turned on its head to a point where Moyes has decided to sideline nearly all the expensive signings from last season and Kinnear presents all this as "typically only one in three new signings will be a success"...just to cover his own arse that he's been sidelined as the spare arse parts he and his "exceptional operators" are.

In short: KInnear has been a complete failure here.
