We needed a sovereign wealth fund but we got profiteers instead.
This was already covered by @windymiller so I shall leave this here. You want, as always, the exact opposite of what is happening.

Yeah, dont kid yourself.

I for one am fed up to the back teeth with losing to Liverpool and this lot wont alter that trend one iota.

All they're good for is taking cash off fans who are struggling to make ends meet.

They dont care that we get beat by Liverpool.

To be fair, TFG provided the funding to see the stadium finished, debt cleared, PSR gone, and they brought in Moyes. They gave the funds to buy and sell over several cycles. Dan Friedkin didn’t concede a header or miss a sitter. I think they’re doing their part just fine. Moyes, more or less doing above average. The players, same thing. The derby result has nothing to do with the owners. Apples and oranges.

I think before they give Moyes and the ‘transfer committee’ more funds to spend in the summer, they need to ask on behalf of all Everton fans, why did we commit the bulk of last seasons fees on;
-Aznou
-Dibling
-Barry
-Alcaraz
-Rohl (who were obliged to buy this summer)

Who have collectively cost around £100m and have made little or no impact.

The only decent signings were Grealish and Dewsbury-Hall. That’s a pretty poor return.

I still have no idea why this lad hasn't been given a chance, because the one cameo performance against Sunderland (FA Cup) was decent.

Similarly, whilst I am not saying they are good enough, we haven't seen much of Röhl either to make a true judgement.

Exactly, mate. Drop £50M each on a back and striker or £100M on one elite striker. Such a waste to spend basically all that on all those players who just rotted away never being used.

Who would you go for mate?

There’s a few different routes .

Would Fabregas take a PL job? It might be early but if the top clubs are dawdling on him would he take the exposure here for a few years?

He’s unpopular on here but Mourinho even now is a miles better manager than Moyes. Give him a big budget and he’d have us more competitive in cups and further up the league. So what if he falls out with everyone in a few seasons.

Could we try and get Glasner? He’d be another one just for a few seasons but he’s won trophies with Frankfurt and Palace which is effectively the exam question now at Everton.

Pochettino won’t be going to Spurs now. He’s better than Moyes and would presumably be interested in a premier league job.

Ancelotti will be free after the summer. Don’t think it’s a good idea but would be different this time around with the Friedkins backing.

My worry is we do this thinking we'll get Simeone and end up with a Koeman/Silva who's flavour of the month.

To me it doesn’t matter who the manager is as long as the culture has remained as what it was. Some managers would do better than others but only going so far.

Said it for years, something is off about the place and some in the media and fan base/shareholders /groups know more about that than what’s been let on publicly.

I know it sounds daft but it’s what I suspect anyway.

I don’t think he’ll ever be a left back in the Premier league, but definitely has something about him and should have had minutes on the wing.

Be amazed if we see him kick a ball for us again tbh.

That’s why I’d go for a Mourinho type.

It might crash and burn but he absolutely wouldn’t accept any idea of inferiority whatsoever.

Koeman seemed bemused when fans expected him to be doing better than he was like he expected adulation for having us in 7th place.

Not sure about Jose, I think his time has passed as a big time coach and it would be a past reputation kind of appointment. Besides i suspect he would end up blaming the culture of the club like he did at Spurs , “a losing one” etc should it inevitably go wrong.

I was kind of hoping these new owners would change things from a mentality standpoint but I don’t really see it. I think that needs to change for any new manager to come in and be a success, or have a better chance at being one at least.
