One win in last 8 is a good leading indicator. KDH isn’t back until late Feb so another 5 games without his influence. Ndaye, Gana will have fatigue post afcon, we now have two suspensions to contend with too.

If one win in 8 form persists for the remainder of the season, it will be tight.
11 points and 3 wins in our last 8 games. Not great but given we have been stretched over that time it’s not the worst. Even without improving it would give us another 23/24 points by the end of the season.

Why will they? They haven’t played any more games than anyone else, in fact they’ve played less games than we have in the same time, what even is this logic? And where have you heard KDH is out til late Feb?

I wish people would stop crediting the friedkins for replacing dyche.

They were going to back him in the window, it was dyche saying he couldn’t take the team forward.

If it was up to Dan and co, Dyche would still be managing the club.
I thought they wanted him to see out his contract to June 25 and would support him to ensure we stayed up. They allegedly had a manager in mind for the summer but did not want to move for him during the season.

Dyche was always going to be leaving last summer but he forced them into an earlier decision on his tenure and Moyes was then in the driving seat on the length of his contract.

That’s my understanding.

When kids learn how to ride a bicycle, they must eventually get rid of the stabilisers.

This is where the Friedkins are now. They have been learning to run a Premier League football club. Time to get rid of The Stabiliser.

Don't worry, it won't persist. We will easily pass the 40 point mark.

From memory we were on 17 points at this stage last season? Might be wrong.

Would bite your hand off for a top right back to be fair.

If you use points per game and use the same average until the end of the season we get 52, so 1 more win than last season but our form of late hasn't been great and that point average per game is going down not up. We're on track for around 50 points basically, similar to the last 2 season totals of 48.

Barry wasn't signed by him. Beto and Chermiti were the only two forwards even close to the level that club could buy without any front payment.
Yeah I know Barry wasn’t signed by him…hence the (KT) next to the players he did sign. I was making a broader point about the clubs recent striker incomings…all poor.

As for KT, I was supportive of him, as I think he had a better strike rate in successful signings than either Walsh or Brands, but regardless of financing there is no denying that Chermitti and Beto aren’t great signings to say the least.

I can’t recall whether KT was let go at the end of his contract, or during it, but it always concerned me that the club was going into last summers window with no real transfer infrastructure, given that the new ones coming in were serving garden leave at their respective clubs.

If they hadnt got the finances balanced as best they can then we would be heading for the same turmoil Moshiri got us into.

Supposedly they have got a good grip of the finances and spent money in the summer after only around six months into the job.

Next summer they can throw more money at transfers and hopefully (I say hopefully but given our recent flirtations with the drop zone then players will need more persuasion to sign) aim higher in the calibre of player we attract.

The summer after, 2027, will be better again.

All well and good. But if you get finances in order and then flush 100m down the toilet on Dibling, Barry, Alcaraz, and Röhl...what's the point?

I would say they will have been bought as squad players to start with but circumstances have changed that.

Dibling isnt going to get a first team spot ahead of KDH, NDiaye or Grealish. When he gets the chance he needs to show Moyes more, something he hasnt done and is proving Moyes right by him not getting selected.

Barry would of played second fiddle to Beto but got in as Beto isnt up to much this season. We play better with Barry than Beto BTW.

Rohl, again he has Gana, Garner and KDH in front of him so no chance of him starting yet plus the injury he got put him back.

Alcaraz his position is where KDH plays so that another one for beefing up the squad. Also didnt he sign a two year contract which tells me he is another squad player and Moyes isnt too convinced?

But why did we spend a third of our budget on him if he was "for the future" when we didn't have even a full back for the present?

It's completely indefensible.
