I like it, Touchdown Dan.

A massive point for all of these people saying he's going to get sacked if he commits the sin of finishing in the bottom half.

Even the Friedkin's acknowledge they didn't set him up for success.

On this point though, this is you in the Dyche thread

‘Yes Mourinho had won a cup and was widely popular.

And Sean Dyche is none of that.

He gets the sack the second the money clears out of Friedkin's account.

They've just sacked De Rossi. He's ruthless is Dapper Dan.’

So on the one hand when it suited your agenda you were happy to point out that the Friedkins were ruthless enough to sack even a popular trophy winning manager, and seemed to have absolute certainty what they would do next in terms of Dyche

Yet when I suggest they’ll be looking at the manager’s contract situation this summer and may choose not to extend if he’s not met their performance targets you rode in on your ridiculous high horse chastising anyone who made claims about what the Friedkins may or may not do.

So when I say the Friedkins are ruthless you don’t want to hear it, but when it suited you you were happy to go all in

‘he’s ruthless is dapper Dan’ - he certainly is, your words not mine.

Utter hypocrite.

That was a year ago before they had been here for a year and decided to get Moyes wasn't it? Not to mention the fact that it was obviously massively tongue in cheek and written to wind up the Dyche lovers. You wouldn't happen to be one of them, would you?

My expectations for how much ambition they would show and how quickly were significantly downgraded by the choice of Moyes. As I would think has been the case for everyone except those who live in a fantasy world of imaginary performance targets dreaming of sacking Moyes themselves.

I do love that you've apparently been stewing on that all Christmas you massive sad sack.

Go have a mince pie or a walk outside

This has made my day.

Merry Christmas and thank you for the gift of your head falling off SD.

£0 King
£4mil Travers
£9mil Aznou
£12mil Alcaraz
£15mil Grealish
£17.5mil Rohl
£25mil KDH
£27.5mil Barry
£35mil Dibling

£145mil and thanks not including add ons. So he'll have spent north of £150mil.

Well yeah, if they earmarked £200m for the summer, that’s how much they have put aside to spend. And that’s not PSR.

But also, I’m still unsure how we get to £150m total spend unless we are including every single add on which likely won’t happen.

See above, no add ons.

Ok, so take out Rohl, because we haven’t paid that. As if you include him then surely alcaraz falls under last seasons budget.

And did we pay £15m for Grealish? From what I can see, thats the cost for fee and wages totalled. No idea what the fee is as can’t see anywhere separating them, but we aren’t including any of the other players wages.

Even if we did, it’s still not £150m. A good £25m under that.

Again, its just the fees that TFG / Moyes have paid. Rohl will be paid starting in the summer but its an obligation so its on the books.

Grealish is a £15mil to City. They cover the wages.

We can dispute the years for PSR and suchlike but those fees are all committed without add ons.

Best imo to just take it that TFG have another £50mil they didnt spend in the summer. With sales that could bring in one or two very good signings.

TFG’s effectiveness was never going to be reasonably judged over 12 months but in the 12 months they’ve been here, they’ve invested a lot or further Cap Ex via Roundhouse. The balance sheet has been strengthened further and there is no existential threat to us. They spent a fair bit (comparatively) in the summer even though not as much as they reportedly thought they would and the appointment of Moyes was driven, short term by Dyche’s unexpected non resignation, resignation.

I think their hand has been forced re managerial appointment because of Dyche’s position but the structuring of the recruitment dept was slower than anticipated, and the club has not spent particularly well under them however I’d give them a report card of a ‘C’ as 10th at this stage of the year and about 7-8 points clear of the corresponding number of games last year is decent progress.

All in all, decent progress but could do better.

I'm still laughing at this being what you decided to vault me on.

If Dapper Dan was as ruthless as you want him to be then he actually would have sacked Dyche day 1 instead of waiting for him to come cap in hand begging for a payout claiming he couldn't do any better.

Congratulations, you found a perfect example backing up what I've been saying. They're perfectly happy to let things go as they are, the Dyche situation and then choosing to hire David Moyes of all people should be clear evidence of the level of ambition they see for us at the moment.

But the comment from the article which was what was mentioned in the post we responded to, was about them earmarking 200m to revamp the squad in the summer. Not about their total spend.

The Grealish figure is dubious in my view. I assume most loans agreed will
Incorporates covering their wages but we don’t include them all when w stalk about how much we spent. Did we include Alcaraz wages last season when we talked about the deal for him?

Either way, in my view, based off that article, we should have closer to £100m to spend. So it will be interesting to see whether we actually utilise that to strengthen a push for Europe.

Replying three times to the same post like a massive crybaby just because your hypocrisy got called out.

‘He’s ruthless is dapper Dan’ - couldn’t agree more.
