…..had to look NBA up, thought it might be baseball but it’s basketball. Seems a bit odd, indoor court game in a footy stadium. Basketball, one of those rare sports I just can’t take to.
I thought it was strange 🤔 I get they could protect the pitch & put a base down (like concerts, boxing etc..)

But what if is is torrential rain, during the game?

Surely a temporary roof over the court would have to be quite high?...Due to the height of the South stand? & the viewing angle?

Ive no issue at all with what the owners are doing. We have got professionals on board now, who are looking to maximise every commercial opportunity available to them. If they want rugby and NBA basketball at the stadium, that’s fine by me. It’s doesn’t affect us as fans.
I can foresee the magic weekend rugby league matches becoming a regular feature at our ground in the coming years. It’s far easier for the likes of Leeds, Warrington, Wigan etc to come to Liverpool than Newcastle.
Off topic in a way but I’ve said before the proximity of the stadium to most RL grounds is exactly why it wouldn’t be a great place for the magic weekend. The whole point is it’s a weekend away in somewhere different, the ‘magic’ is spoiled if it’s right on your doorstep.

I get what you’re saying. But I’m sure most RL fans would rather have a day out watching all their matches and return home the same evening, then have to fork out on expensive overnight accommodation. It could well benefit Everton more as people would be inclined to spend more on food and drinks at the ground, knowing they haven’t forked out for costly hotels.

This has been a failure of a summer for them at this club.
I think you're forgetting how weve been operating the last 10 years.

We could have 10-11 players signed this summer on Monday, a few with huge potential and 2-3 with experience.
Weve plugged 90% of the gaping holes just the other 10% to do in the next couple of days.

If the window closed now we are so much more stronger than last season.
