Don't worry about it. I had a few minutes to spare, so crest sorted.

I like it. It can double as a map of France.

Still think we should collectively vote for one on here too, that we can provide with the democratic backing of a few thousand fans.

First vote each item that the people have to have on it first of all:

-Badge/shield, Circle badge, or neither?
-White vs Yellow badge trim?
-Laurel wreaths?
-Rupert's Tower? More detail for the tower?
-Date?
-Club motto?
-Club name? Everton or Everton FC? Inside or outside the badge?
-More detail, less cartoonish looking in general?

I'm not sure we'd have enough time for that approach mate, but it would make sense ideally.
Given the constraints we have, we could open a thread simply for peeps to post THEIR OWN images (including Bungles I hope), and then narrow it down to open a poll from there somehow.

Nothing will happen unless the mod team or DD support it 'cos it'll be them that submit it at the end of the day :)

I know I said this in the other thread, but I think it bears repeating. Contrast how the crest on the scarf is legible and actually represents something, while the one on the shirt is illegible and pretty much pointless. And its in this kind of environment that its used predominantly. Similarly take any of the crests on the other thread and reduce the zoom to 30%, mainly they will become an indistinct mass. And again that's how they will be used.

the ones on the scarves are bigger than the ones on the shirts though

No it is the complete opposite of what happened last time. The current badge we have a cheapo job designed in-house, not by an independent company.
Not at all. Last time a company employee made a few designs and some fans got to pick one. This time a company employed by the club will make a few designs and some fans will pick one. Groundhog day.

It's not really listening to the fans if the design is to a fixed brief, which, call me a cynic, it will still be given that Kenyon Fraser are employed by the club and dance to their tune. The least they could have done was have a couple of firms compete to "interperet" the fans suggestions and let us vote on them. Then the winners get the business - "The Pitch" style. Preferably more companies to "interperet". Better yet, just put forward the fans suggestions and let us vote on them.

It's not a company 'employed by the club'. It's an independent company hired by the club. It's completely different. The article link I posted acknowledged that last time the badge was designed 'in-house', using that term.

There's a questionnaire that fans will fill in, selecting what should be on the badge.
There are submissions that fans can make. I know for a fact Alan Myers has been in contact with milkyonedesign already.
The independent designers will then make up several designs for EVERYONE to choose from.
There will be a democratic vote.

It's being handled completely differently, by different people, incorporating different stages, and ultimately EVERYONE will have a vote.
