I got the feeling from the focus groups that I think they (the company involved) already have designed new crests. The guy said the voting on our new badge will start in October?! Suprising to hear that the current crest was designed in-house![]()

I was at the session tonight and didn't get that impression at all to be honest.I got the feeling from the focus groups that I think they (the company involved) already have designed new crests. The guy said the voting on our new badge will start in October?! Suprising to hear that the current crest was designed in-house![]()
Think you were in my group mate. I was the one that pressed him about the timescale. They guy said that the choices will be out soon, when pressed about the time- he said that they can design it fast once the data is collated & the problem with the current badge was that they took too long. He was taken back that most of our group didn't care for the shield (dependant on the design of course)
Do you mean the current fat shield or simply the shield? They guy said that the choices will be out soon, when pressed about the time- he said that they can design it fast once the data is collated & the problem with the current badge was that they took too long. He was taken back that most of our group didn't care for the shield (dependant on the design of course)
The opinion in the group (by and large) was that the shield shape is less essential than certain other elements of the crest - i.e. the tower, the laurels and (with the growing global market the Premier League is aimed at and watched by) the name of the club.Do you mean the current fat shield or simply the shield?

Hi, thoroughly enjoyed this thread. Not enough posts, yet, so I apologize for the cryptic URLs, but I really value your input. I'm only in a sketch phase (I know, I know, I only have 48 hours left!)
I've posed two blog posts about my process thus far:
Something, but Not the Best. Or, Rebranding Everton. (Part I): words.virmalo. com/rebranding-everton
and
Rebranding Everton Part II: Keep Your Head on a Swivel: words.virmalo. com/keep-your-head-on-a-swivel
Here is the first round of sketches: i.imgur. com/X3g7YQx.jpg (WARNING 1.5MB JPG)
NOTE: The grid at the top and row/column numbers have been added for easy identification when commenting. E.g. "Row 12, 4th one looks like a Smurf house" or "Row 18, last one = pencil?"
Your input is greatly appreciated! COYB!

Well that is astonishing to me. Utterly astonishing. The opinion in the group (by and large) was that the shield shape is less essential than certain other elements of the crest - i.e. the tower, the laurels and (with the growing global market the Premier League is aimed at and watched by) the name of the club.
It wasn't that people were so much AGAINST the shield, just that people were willing to consider designs without it.
