What the hell happened last night @SerenityNigh? I didn't see the game.

Are you talking Rockets/Spurs? I didn't watch either, but I'm guessing it's either: (1) the emergence of The Beard as a contender for a ring or (2) a tired Spurs giving away a game in which they lost control.

I'm a firm believer in supporting your preconceived notions, so I think the Spurs will bounce back, but this series will go 6 or 7. And the Spurs are still at least 1 player away from winning again.

I figured you watched it is why I asked.

I just saw the score when I posted that.

Everyone's entitled to lay an egg every now and again I suppose.

Popovich is also quick to pull the plug when he knows his team can't win. I'm sure the Spurs could have got back in it but he decided to save everyone's energy for the next game. Only Aldridge played more than 30 minutes.

I want both of these teams to perish in a volcano.

There is a fine line (sometimes) between genius and delusion

He seems insane...but if he does it right who knows.

Nike was so brilliant with Jordan. Only fulfill about 1/4 of the demand. Make it a thing. I was a Store Manager at a Foot Locker in 1995. I was in the Houston market...which probably surprisingly was the #2 Jordan market in the Company after Chicago.

My store sold out 100% of 300 pair by 8 am. Mall didn't open until 10 am. So yeah I did over a normal week's worth of sales in about two hours.

They were so smart to drive demand up by only giving a small hit of the good stuff. Drug dealers in a way.

The 6'5" fella asking for a size 13 and being told a size 10.5 is the biggest left and him saying 'I can fit them' kinda says it all.

To expound a little further.

I was lucky to be where I was. Top 25-50 Jordan store in a giant chain. I will take credit in making my boss a believer that I could transform the store. Prior to 95 that store was a typical Jordan store.

Typical was an 18-24 total pair allocation. So to paint a painfully underfed demand picture 24 pair look like (by size):

7-1, 7.5-1, 8-1 8.5-1, 9-2, 9.5-2, 10-4, 10.5-4, 11-4, 11.5-2, 12-1 13-1

It's crazy to imagine that store I ran with such a small inventory. I thank the racist pig who ran that store before me for making my job easy.

AFAIR, they also had kids getting mugged and shot on the streets for them, so that was great... :o
