Dele has been played out of position for most of the season. When he plays in his preferred role (ie, more forward) he has been decent.

Though in southgate's defence he cant really be blamed for tonight. Just three rank bad errors and without VAR england would be through to the final.

The counter argument being he's done nothing about defenders who had already made poor decisions on the ball (Stones) and many poor passes (Barkley) throughout the night and would have had to rely on a penalty and an offside goal. Could have been a humiliating night if Holland weren't desperately short of a forward of the calibre of past players such as Van Basten, Van Nistelrooy or Van Persie.

Sancho was excellent I thought. The highlight being when he made a tit out of de Ligt in setting up the chance for Rashford. NL got on top after he came off

He couldn't wait to stick the boot in last year at the World Cup. Not sure but i think he might have advised against Pickford's selection when he was involved in the England set up and just wants to be proved right. Or just fallen out with him. There's definitely something off whenever Neville talks about Pickford.

No definitely not, no Spurs players at fault at all.

The Netherlands beat a scratch England side, take six players out of any side and they're unrecognisable.

I think Kane, Hudson-Odoi, Loftus-Cheek, Henderson, Winks, Alex-Arnold and Gomez could easily have started but for recent injuries or the proximity of the UCL final. Tbh Stones makes too many basic errors for me and I would start Gomez or Keane instead of him.

There is always a massive difference with ten or eleven players out of the squad, very difficult to make any true assessment from last night.

I just think England are a better side

England were decimated, shot to pieces, a poor side would have stood a chance and Holland showed lots of frailties and but for a Sancho glaring miss and millimetres VAR ruling could even have lost

The regular England haters on here usually ignore any mitigating circumstances in their rush to have a go whenever possible.Tbf some are not English which means they support whoever plays us every time.
