He couldn't wait to stick the boot in last year at the World Cup. Not sure but i think he might have advised against Pickford's selection when he was involved in the England set up and just wants to be proved right. Or just fallen out with him. There's definitely something off whenever Neville talks about Pickford.

*dons fetching tinfoil hat*
Yeah I have noticed it also. That said they they used to stick the boot in more when Barkley was an Everton player an made a mistake. I even remembered watching a prem match an Alan smith saying how ross is a much improved player now at Chelsea. I just really don’t like the sky commentary team wether that be with England or the premier league.

Gary Neville has a bee in his bonnet about Everton in general. I take it as a compliment. Anything that streak of Sammy Lee beverage doesn't like is probably somewhere on the side of righteousness.

Some comical defending from the ex-Everton players last night

If it hadn't been for the current Everton player in goal things could have been even worse

Dominic King in his “Player ratings” for last night gives John Stones a 7 - then goes on to say “Held it all together in the middle. Plays with cool and poise, and always had Depay under control”!

This’ll be the same John Stones who arguably was at fault for all three goals! May be DK just deducted a point for each mistake?

Would have made sense to rest the Spurs players like Kane and Alli against Netherlands given they played in the CL final. However, the Spurs players didn't actually *play* in the CL final, they just rolled over and flipped their puds.
