He lost De Ligt on every set-pieceJohn Stones at fault for all of their goals. That season with Alcaraz really had an impact didn't it.
Fans generally dont mate imo, but the media......tossers.Face it lads .... England just aren’t good enough .... no matter how much the fans and media hype them up
They've an extraordinarily average midfield (that might be an oxymoron). Some good forward players and will always dominate crap teams.Face it lads .... England just aren’t good enough .... no matter how much the fans and media hype them up
Southgate is the international version of OGS, took over from a team in crisis and had a run of favourable fixtures to earn a new contract. England should be a side that gets to the semi final of a tournament with minimum fuss, unless they get a heavyweight opponent in an earlier round. Which is pretty much what happened every (recent) tournament apart from when Hodgson was in charge. England need someone who will win these games when it starts getting a bit harder, an aging Croatia and a Netherlands team still finding their feet should be winnable games. Never mind the golden generation, this will be classed as the wasted one.
My thoughts exactly, sub par performances as well, didn't he only beat Tunisia convincingly? And now he got an MBE.
OGS had his honeymoon period and they're stuck with him until probably Christmas before they realise they'll need a big name manager.
Though in southgate's defence he cant really be blamed for tonight. Just three rank bad errors and without VAR england would be through to the final.
