Do the math Epstein. It`s not just the one thing - it`s sickness, knife crime etc etc etc........ selling the NHS off on the sly - they all add up.

If all you can be is obstructive, belligerent and evasive then leave because I`ve asked politely for arguments against the stuff i`ve posted from `official` sources- you don`t have to announce your departure, no one is hanging on your every word- just silently slide away without causing a fuss if you can`t put a decent reply together.

Just incredible, if everyone* pays and goes private there isn't the capacity to turn any of this around so it stays as it is. paying for private only works where some (the poor, disabled, in care with dementia) cant pay and so their wait list is increased. pay to queue jump. call it what it is. There is a cancer time bomb I suspect where screening and early diagnosis has gone to the wall, what it means is the illness caught much to late or not at all then the waiting list takes care of itself. A quite hideous platform for this gang in charge to bow out on.

My dad had to get cataract surgery privately recently. NHS told him it was a two year wait just to get on the waiting list.

See, there's always going to be those who go private. And I'm not blaming those who have the means to as one's health and wellbeing is important.

I just find it immensely sad and frustrating that we appear to be moving to a default position where it has to happen. It's not really the point of having a national health system that we all pay into.

Back to the bad old days. I remember pre-Labour 1997, my Dad needing a new Hip, and it was a 2 years waiting list just to see a consultant, then he went on a 1 year waiting list for the op.
