2025/26 Nathan Patterson

I’d have played him against Brentford. Desperate for someone who can get over the halfway line and support the wide forward. Can’t be playing a centre back at right back at home, not long term.

If Moyes doesn’t want to play him and it looks like that’s the case, we need a right back asap - as well as a left back btw!

Should have kept with him for Brentford and see if momentum continued. As it was Keane and OBrien threw absolute stinkers but that’s fine as long as Patterson doesn’t play because he might have thrown one.

I just don’t understand it with football managers. Moyes will come away from that match not even thinking about the mistakes Keane Tarkwoski O’Brien made but Patterson cant play in case he makes an error and if Dibling has a quiet 45 mins he’s yanked out straight away.

The favourites/good lads/good trainers get given grace, so Keane, Tarks and McNeil will all saunter about on Wednesday night again for the first team. Moyes will probably back Tarks for the first gift goal and blame Tim like his skipper.

Patterson, Dibling, aznou, Alcaraz can’t get near the team and then get pelters from some fans when they don’t even kick a ball for us, it’s monumentally baffling.

The Athletic is a kopite Fanzine now?

The reality is he never played that well against Forest and that's why he never kept his place.

Would Nate the Great have made a difference yesterday? Personally I doubt it.
The pathetic is a joke, hit pieces on BMD before it opened, it panders to kopite telly clappers all over the world, hence my comment - no one should take anything it prints as serious, it’s a shitrag.

He never played that well in a 2-0 away win and a clean sheet - ok boss, thanks, can I have some more of what we got against Brentford instead please, thank you so much.

Your last whopper statement - beautiful, you can see into the future now, and knew Patterson wouldn’t have made any difference at all yesterday before we kicked a ball?! Tremendous.

What are the Euromillions numbers for tomorrow please, mystic Mooms.

My prediction is that by the end of the transfer window he will be gone and we will have a new right back signed.

I only watched the first half so can't comment on his whole performance. But the people who voted on his ratings on the BBC website and the Athletic gave him the second lowest average score just ahead of Beto who played 5 mins.

The person on the Toffeeweb gave him the lowest score of any player. Are they all wrong?

He is not a good player at the end of the day. Hickey for Brentford is a better right back than him, he can play both full back positions as well.

He did OK against Forest. Shaky start defensively, looked (understandably) short of match fitness, but looked like he was growing into the game and even had a couple of good runs with the ball. He’s clearly more an attacking FB than defensive.

But most importantly, it allowed O’Brien to play his natural role & not Keane.

Rohl did that too and did it much better, and it allowed Dibling to play further up the pitch.

McNeil has barely played this season. Putting him in with the "good lads" makes zero sense. Alcaraz has played more than him. He is playing because of injuries, not because he is a favourite of Moyes. Far from it.

Rohl took over for 15 minutes when Patterson went off.

You clearly have an agenda with Patterson. I’m not claiming he’s the answer to our RB problems. It was a bad deal, way overpriced & smells (wasn’t it gerrard & FSW??.), but he’s a RB by trade & did OK.

For Moyes to take O’Brien out of position again was a big mistake.

I thought he looked same as always against Forest, pretty good going forward (certainly better than O’Brien who is a centre back) but dead ropey defending

Patterson isn’t the long term answer to any question though - we need a new right back more than any other position
