2025/26 Nathan Patterson

Mental that he came on vs Brighton on the 90th minute added much needed width and was in part a large reason we snatched a point.

So what does he do, moving forward plays with Jake at RB who offers nothing at RB, because he’s a 6ft6 centre back…

Jake gets suspended and logically you’d imagine Patto comes back in, but no the clown moves our best midfielder to RB.
Also played well in his few games this season, but it is what it is, he's done with us.

Moyes in his press conference talks about needing a RB in the summer. Talked about right back options and mentioned Garner and JOB. Didn't even mention Patterson.

I think we can out to bed any thoughts of Patterson playing again.
We know he's not the long term answer but I don't understand what he's done wrong to not start. Anyone can see he offers more going forward than JOB.

That's a verbal smack to the back of the head.

People know I dont rate Patto, but there's an element of cruelty about this now.

It's not his fault he's not good enough.

The strange thing is that we haven't lost in his last 3 PL starts. He also played ok against Sunderland in the cup.

I agree with you that we need better, but as things stand, he's the best RB we have (without damaging the team by playing Garner at RB).

I dont see it that way. I think people have seen that he didn't hand the opposition a goal and therefore handed him credit where none was due.

All this 'we we're better balanced' malarkey is for the birds. We actually have to nurse maid him and he hardly got forward to swing a cross in during any of those games...his apparent 'strong-suit'.

Garner at RB until the season ends is the right move, but Moyes wont do that.

He shouldn't. It harms us more than it benefits us.

JOB will be back in once he's fit and will continue to do everything you have said above as a criticism of Patterson, while also sitting back on his own 18 yard line.

The only benefit of JOB over Patterson is corners and having another massive CB to rugby scrum the opposition defenders.

Another who’s Been treated pretty bad of late, Whatever you think of his past performances in his Everton career, he has played pretty well the last few games he’s played in and offered us something we were missing, deserves a shot in the team especially when O’Brien was out

How's he been treated badly ? Manager picks the team, if he doesnt trust him then its not badly treated its a case of proving him wrong.

More like manager picks his favourites even if it’s at a detriment to the side and performances. What more could Patterson do, he came in performed then got pushed aside while he square pegs got pushed into round holes

…..like managers before him, Moyes knows he’s a defensive liability. It’s almost as though they’ll pick a number of options rather than risk him.

They know what they’re doing, JOB and a few others are better than him. They don’t pick ‘favourites’, they pick their best team.
