That’s fair, me too and as I’d said in the transfer thread - even a bang average right back improves us which today proved

It also means our quickest and tallest CB is playing where he should be.

Been very critical of him.

He started well off the pace, but Tarkowski gave him a bollocking and he improved a lot.

Maybe we don't need a RB....

We do. Whilst he has performed well in the last couple of games, he would need to stay fit and show this consistently to prove he is capable at this point after the disjointed last few seasons with big injuries etc.

We needed to move him on in the summer and we shouldn’t be making recruitment decisions based off 2/3 games.

He is currently better than our other options to use there which is why we have wanted him playing (barring Garner but moving him out of midfield is weakening us overall). But at this point, I don’t think he will be the long term answer.

Regardless, we need another RB anyway as he will be our only actual RB we have come the summer.

I don't think he's the answer to our right back problems, but he's giving us far better balance in defence.

Be great if he can have an injury free run now until the end of the season

Useful if he can compete for a place, but it's so obvious we need a high grade right back (and left back for that matter). I don't know what is with Everton, but we seem allergic to signing adequate specialist cover at full back.

I think we had one season when Ancelotti hoined when we had the French fella on loan competing with/covering Coleman.
