I am kind of with you that I don't think he is good enough but we are clearly more balanced when O'Brien is not there which is an indictment on Moyes for continuing to shoehorn him there. We need to sign a RB and LB regardless.

It's also no coincidence that a conventional RB moves our pacy CB back to the middle which helps with drastically improving Tark

I had little faith in him, but he did really well today. He wasn’t exactly Cafu, but he defended well and didn’t seem to be a weak link at all! And he deserves to start again unless we sign another right back. O’Brien should stay at centre back imo. Garner is maybe our best right back, but he’s shown what he brings to midfield. Well played Patterson, time for a consistent run now!

To then not be able to give him credit for playing well which is what was being asked of him in that conversation (or caveating any credit by throwing negatives from previous weeks in) is even more embarrassing.

If that appeal had got that red card for Keane overturned we lose tonight because he would have started.

That is what frustrates me about Moyes.

Another really solid, decent all round performance from Patto, worked really hard and no real mistakes or problems, and kept more decent players very quiet - the balance he provides the side is obvious to anyone with eyes.

Already seeing the gobs being funny in the thread - made up Nathan is continuing in getting your blood pressure up by doing a good job for Everton.
