One of the interviewers comments with Patterson mentioned "one of the players I expect you to be working with over the next few years is Seamus Coleman" good god I hope he means in a coaching or advisory role

I don’t imagine the interviewer is going to come out and say, “so you’re here to replace a past his prime Seamus Coleman”. lol

Good signing. It's a shame we couldn't have kept Digne as well. Then we could have had Digne and Coleman with Mykolenko and Patterson being eased in, ready to be first choice next season.

I think we may need them this season tho! but good point on Digne! But we do of course have Rafael masterplan of playing a past it Right Back at left back to fall back on, if we really struggle!


*not blaming Coleman in any way. Been a great servant and unlike a Thoroughbred race horse was allowed to race past his prime! If only the could have nicked him like Shergar

Durrant was ok but did not settle and never really showed his ability in sharp contrast to Dunc who felt at home day one.

As I recall Currant came here injured and never really recovered.

I mean Patterson at least has been playing/training. Mykolenko hasn't played in over a month.
