My point was they are 4 predominantly centre halfs. In saying that I’d much rather a RB over LB cover unless the Myko injury is worse than we thought or more likely Moyes just does not rate Azou.

intriguing. I had been thinking we might go get someone who can play CB and LB eg we were linked with the Lyon player earlier in the window. But then we got Aznou so I thought we were not going down that route.

Moyes does love a LCB ( Distin , lescott, zouma when at West Ham ) so I imagine losing JB means he wanted to have a LCB for balance.

I believe Ake can also play at DM so this could be a smart signing if he can stay fitter than he’s been recently
