And defensive midfield, he a Rolls Royce of a defender very composed but I agree he's not obviously someone we need as a priority

I think this may be one of those that we have been forced into doing a summer earlier because of Branthwaite / Myko / Aznou unavailability.

Hopefully it does not mean that Branthwaite will be departing next summer, although it could just be due to our injury problems. It is also worth bearing in mind that Keane and Tarkowski are both out of contract next summer, so it could be planning ahead. I would be open to offering Tarkowski a new contract, but I would rather see Keane depart.
