.......interesting the Man City fan posting on the match thread was really impressed with Naismith and said he was the type opposition hate playing against. A few of my most biased red mates grudgingly say they are impressed with him.

Its a sad inditement he's more appreciated by our enemies than amongst friends.

I've even heard Carragher heap praise on him a few times! It's true though, he's the type of player defenders hate because he pulls them all over the place with his movement and work rate!

Carragher knows if he was still playing Nais would give him nightmares

Said to the missus he shouldn't have been so early in the order as he was stepping up.

Whist it was an average penalty, a lot of them were they're the ones that just come down to luck and unfortuently luck wasn't on his side (get it..... sorry).

EXACTLY like Naismith. The number of 5/10 yard passes his misplaces or over/underhits is crazy.

All that said, take Cahill/Naismith out of the team and we suffer.

I have to say though, there were times last night when Naismith's lack of class really told, with promising moves in and around their box breaking down through his poor touches and passes. Worked like mad as usual though.

Yep, he's very frustrating to watch when things don't come off for him. (the majority of the time if we're honest) But he never let's his head drop and is right back in the game offering himself to teamates. Exactly what we need in our current situation.

Interestingly, he was often our outlet for the long goal kick, trying to win headers off their fullback. About a 50% success rate there.

Naismith's work rate & energy last night was....sigh...phenomenal (damn you Martinez)...no way can he be criticized..

To win the FA cup you need luck along the way, and we didn't get any last night...

Martinez made one mistake....and this isn't with hindsight (it was obvious first half)...mirallas should have been on at half time (clearly is WAS match fit)... Mcgeady doesn't belong in an Everton shirt, he was a terrible terrible signing (and that was all too obvious to anyone who had watched him regularly before hand)....
