Received a new contract and has gone missing since. Where's the workrate gone for the past few weeks? I dont see much of it lately.
Fortunately he was not missing today. Its not luck that one of our smallest players on the pitch can score with his head against one of the best teams in the prem. Its all about experience and know how.

He has a knack for turning up like that, yes.

I gave up a long time ago saying he's not good enough for this Everton team. He is. I just hope that we reach a situation soon that he's left out for not being good enough for it. He's a limited player who cant pass or keep disciplined shape.

But thank God for his goals in the meantime.

I agree with you that he is not gods gift to a football. He reminds me of Reid in the 80's not the greatest footballer either but the team lacked something when he was not on the pitch.

Don't think you can mention them in the same sentence. Reid one a player of the year award in a championship winning team. Naismith is nowhere the footballer Reid was. Reid wasn't a limited player. He had everything a box to box midfielder needs. Naismith is supposed to be a number 10 and can't pass or dribble.

I take your gracious apology Dave.

Its nice to see you're not so far above us all not to apologise for getting it so badly wrong regarding Steven "the Ghost" Naismith.

Very big of you. :coffee:

Pffft.

It's known as a backhanded compliment.

He forced the opposition into mistakes but ultimately didn't score.

Naismith's a decent player who's perfect for a certain type of game but I'd put him on the bench for West Brom

Come one mate, West Brom is a must win 6 pointer, should we really have the player with our second best strike rate this season on the bench?

Its a shame more players arnt forcing the opponent into mistakes ;)
