delighted he's doing well, a good footballer and committed lad, all he needs is some luck with his fitness. Some lads on here seem to want him to fail at everton or elsewhere to appear edgy, and thats a real shame to be honest

Watched yesterday's Boro game against a good Millwall team to see how Besic performed in this more attacking role that we've never seen him given at Goodison. He looked fit and eager and definitely seems to have benefitted from a run of regular games
He was by a long way the best player on the pitch, showing excellent, instant control of the ball under pressure and precise, speedy passing, skill and strength getting him out of tight situations. There were a couple of typical rash challenges which could easily have seen him booked but, being a bit further up the pitch, at least they were not in dangerous positions. His 50 yard dash and squaring up to the ref after not being given a last minute penalty, when the game was already won, was pure stupidity.
I like him in that role. He has the ability to play in the Premier League and the unnecessary fouls he inevitably gives away are likely to be nearer the opposition's goal than our own. We've got worse players.
