I’m sorry but there’s no way Besic is worse than Schneiderlin or Rooney in holding mid. His treatment by Everton has been disgraceful. It started with Martinez making a point to the fans by subbing him off when he was our best player. Koeman completely ignored him for his signing Gueye and Allardyce couldn’t wait to get rid of him.

Think back to the level he was at in the league cup semi v City and ask yourself why a player capable of that is out on loan and Schneiderlin is starting.

If Besic has cost 25 Mill plus he’d be getting rehabilitated with chance after chance like Keane Schneiderlin and Siggurdson are. Because he was relatively cheap though Everton are happy just to phase him out of the club.

It’s poor management, he’s a good player, yet whilst we claim players like McCarthy are ‘family’ we’ve treated a Bosnian international like a youth player since he’s arrived.

Koeman played him in every game of pre season till he got A injury which ruled him out for the whole season. Under martinez every time he got A string of game together where he looked good he got injured.

And this season when he's played he's looked nothing short of horrendous (atalanta away).

Seems like a player who needed time to get over his injury and we finding ourselves in a relagation battle couldn't offer the playing time he needed.

Just because he's playing well now in a league that's a step down, doesn't mean it would of been a good idea to keep him but does sound like sending him out on loan was the best thing for his career and everton on the whole.

But we could offer a load of playing time to a total coward of a player.:coffee:

If he could ever have strung a few games together at the standard he showed in fleeting glimpses, he’d be worth keeping. ....but he didn’t. He couldn’t stay fit & his glimpses of brilliance were way outnumbered by his brainfarts & poor positioning. There’s ability in there somewhere, but he’s not anywhere near consistent enough for EPL standard.

Still, at least Middlesbrough will pay for him, which is more than we can hope for Williams, Bolasie, Cuco & a few others.

Good. He stays out of harms way rather than play for those donkeys.

If Allardyce leaves in the summer Dowell will be a first team regular here by Christmas at the latest.
daves been on the spice lads. Dowell to be in league 2 within 3 years

I agree with the fact schnidelin shouldn't be playing but the manager plays him because of his height. That doesn't mean two wrongs makes a right. Sending him out on loan was still the best thing for the lad.

Personally I'd be playing Davis and benni in the midfield over either of them but I would also of been playing lookman over bolasie so what do I know
