I said to you in the summer, that IMO besic technically was on another level to McCarthy. And I said I would have sold him in a heart beat for 25mil( the Spurs rumour)

Of course I got laughed out of town, had the comments like, wouldn't sell for 30, our most important player. Martinez should build the team around him.

He's a good player, but overrated by a lot of our fans. Don't think we have missed him and I don't think he will be still at Everton in 2yrs.

Since we've only won one league game since he has been out... And Besic only played 5 mins of that.

Besic is a fantastic player, and he's playing excellently, which means if McCarthy wishes to regain and then retain a place, he's going to have to be at his best.

He's played against some of the best midfields in the league this month and bettered most of the battles in there. It's very impressive.

I want to see how he does tomorrow against a team where we will be on the front foot, that's where McCarthy can sometimes be less effective.
