There are so many transfers happening all over Europe, the fact that players like Besic, Bolasie,Niasse and Mirallas in particular are still with us and with no obvious interest from other clubs in signing them says a lot.... overpaid and not good enough to entice clubs to take a risk.

At least there seems to clubs interested in Tosun, McCarthy, Schneiderlin and Onyekuru.

Besic > wages / agent

Bolasie > wages / waste of money

Niasse > can’t play football

Mirralas > wages / finished

Was always going to be the way mate.

I don't understand the hatred ,yes if you don't want him as our player but to be so vindictive ,I don't see it .

hardly vindictive christ sake, most football fans would love to be a professional at a championship club. he'll have a good life and i wish him well off our wage bill

They may not be wanted in England, but fortunately the window is open longer in Europe. Only hope is that teams are waiting until the end to avoid paying their wages for a bit longer.

Fortuna Dussledorf seem to be buying a few players, should offload them there...

As all the other Everton players I've seen were playing against the same standard of opposition, I'm not sure what other metric I'm supposed to use? I'm only in my early 30s, I'm not comparing him to Alan Ball or anything, and I've never seen us playing against Europe's best. The best individual Everton midfield performances I've seen off the top of my head would be Rooney against Bolton when he was 16/17, Arteta in a FA Cup game against Villa, Fellaini against City once, and Besic against City. My point was that he had the ability to play at that level, no matter how frequently or who against. Cleverley, Heitinga, Neville, Castillo and the like didn't.

Not really. Performances matter more in big games, and when they are needed against big teams. I’m not quite sure Besic at home to QPR and West Brom stacks up as the best you’ve seen from an Everton midfielder in 30 years. His performance vs City was great, but it was one game.

Heitinga, by the way, won player of the season in 2012, won 87 Dutch caps and reached the World Cup final. Phil Neville has had a career Besic couldn’t even manage on fifa. I didn’t rate either of them particularly, but they were far more accomplished players.

So we can shift crap overseas still? That's handy.
