We're going to do it for charity, and will set up a website nearer the time.
There's a small chance that we can get a tv production company to participate also.
Would love to plant an Everton flag on the top, sadly though I'm not going all the way, in fact even though we'll be at 6,340 m, the peak is still 2,400 m further up (putting it another way, we'll be over 6 times higher than Snowdon, but still 2.5 "Snowdon's" below the peak.

Reidy, I'm crap at maths but I reckon about 20 St Johns towers. Wouldn't want to do that if the lifts are out.

St Johns tower is 450ish feet from sea level if I remember right. So say 20 is 9000 feet.... thats about 2700ish metres, the esks are doing 6340

St John's Beacon is 102 m - so advanced base camp is 62 times higher, and the peak of Everest will be a further 24 times St John's Beacon higher.
