I don't really see the problem with what he said about Liverpool tbh, it's not desperately important. If we didn't finish above them i wouldn't be pi**ed off.

The part about finishing top 10 makes me fume, however.

I guess so, but finishing above them would just sweeten the deal.

And I agree. If his aspirations for the club are to produce a top 10 finish, I think he needs to check himself. However, after the abyssmal start, I can understand him coming out and re-evaluating his goals to that, it doesn't make it seem so bad. If he came out saying this at the beginning of the season, all hell would break loose.

DM's lack of explanation surrounding anything he says is really whats going to end up getting him in trouble with the fans, more so than already.

Oh Dayyyyyyyvid! I have such a love hate relationship with him. I have a love hate relationship with Everton in general tbh.

If Ferguson said this it would be deemed excellent management, taking the pressure off his players.

Here it's deemed not giving a **** about the club etc.

If the footy is good to watch for the last 2 games i'm happy.

Well that's a nothing statement because Ferguson would never have to say anything like that.

Yay!! Another Moyes bashing thread. Just what was needed. That's 11659 of them now. Can we get to 12000 before the season ends?

What really annoys me and I mean REALLY gets to me is that our expectations have risen to a point where we expect more.

I remember not that long ago the end of season DVD going nuts over '7th Heaven' Like we had just won the f'ing thing. From there we have spent next to nothing and still finishing 7th. If you dont spend you cant go forward- even with the greatest manager on the planet at the helm.

Yeh fair play top 10 is a decent end to what had been a poor start.

Who did we sell in the summer and who did we buy?! No creativity, no craft, no guile until January and oh look our season started in January.

Mick what are your feelings on the notion that our season started in January?

That would be great if it wasn't for the fact that we did the exact same thing last season with Arteta and Pienaar in the squad. We actually lost Pienaar and then our form picked up.

Thread title edited twice and Muggins giving me an infraction for expressing my opinion?

Nazi state, this forum lids!!

Im not happy that our season started in January- but when we have had a squad that Moyes wanted we have competed. Look at the form table from where our signings came in January and you'll see.

The fact that we HAD to sell Arteta and didnt replace him, the fact that Moyes operates under such tight constraints and has to wheel and deal his way to a squad that can compete.

People have said how poor our football has been this season and yes at the start when a 17 year old kid and then a player many cant decide if he is a centre half or a midfielder was our most creative influence you know why.

If and its a big if, we manage to keep hold of our top players for next season, maybe if we have to sell to raise money one or two of the fringe players so we can secure Pienaar maybe invest in a right back and look at some more creativity in the middle.

Brennan when we sold Pienaar both he and Mikel had been out of sorts, when you have a small squad and your two most influential players are off form or injured you will struggle.

Youve got a problem with the change of thread title?! After we had the 8th thread started about the manager I lumped them together and entitled it simply 'Moyes' I think the title says it all and I should win a book token or something for the creative juice that came up with it. Brap brap.

We sold a fat striker that scored 7 times in two seasons, a finished playmaker who could only pass sideways and a slim bloke with a neck tattoo.

I know we were forced into selling Arteta but can we have some acknowledgement that this isn't the only thing that made us gash til January?

Before he left we got beat at home to QPR and spawned the jammiest win in history at Blackburn, relying on them missing two penalties.
