I still think its quite a demanding task fighting for European places with no transfer budget.

Nobody asked him to fight for Europe though, even if we finished around 10th all these years he would still be praised by our board for his amazing achievements.

How would you know that?

He never had to find out, reason he stayed so long is because of the constantly high league finishes against an increasingly tight budget.

Why would you sack someone constantly doing a good job?

Because they constantly tried to lower our expectations, 'finishing 10th would be great for a club like Everton ', 'let's get to 40 points first' etc etc.
They were prepared to be lower in the table than Moyes made us finish year after year.

He did a decent job here, but he stayed some years too long, and i was glad to see him gone in 2013.

Watched that Ferguson programme tonight. FFS the bit about ginger plums was hilarious. SAF saying that they did the best they could under the circumstances when a long list of top managers either weren't available or didn't fancy the post.

It's one of the most humiliating episodes in any managers history. No wonder he's hiding out in Spain with all the other criminals.

That reeks of the whiskey nosed old Scot trying to rewrite history in his favour. If Moyles had been a success he would have been bigging himself up all over the place. He's just not admitting to another Bebe moment. He probably thought Moyles was gonna be his mini me but instead good old Davey brought the goof troop with him and lost the dressing room really quickly.

He is NOT the Moysiah
He's a very naughty boy

Bristol City fans thought he WAS the Moysiah at Wembley 86/87 Freight Trophy Final versus Mansfield

Times linking him with Villa job today
Be a great job for him tbh. Huge team, as long as he doesn't relegate them he can only come out of it looking good.

Should be given 25m to revamp them in January, plus any profit from sales. Could easily turn them around imo.
