Moyes Watch @ Real Sociedad

See he is signing Bruma for Real Sociedad - according to the website I read it on he tried to sign him for Everton.

Reading this thread you would think moyes did a marginally better job than Smith did!

Fairs fair this is the manager who went 2 years without a transfer budget, people talk about him leaving being the reason why they hate him? How would you treat your club if they continually held you back in your role and didnt back you? Would you really be walking on Egg shells?

He took us as far he could go as a manager which is a fantastic sentimant to his abilities as a manger under the circumstances.

More to the point i hope he does take oviedo with him to sociedad, think that move would suit him. I like oviedo and he is much better than some of our squad players, but after injuries he needs to get playing and we cant offer him that.

Agreed with you up until the end

Selling Oviedo would be a huge mistake in my opinion. He's essentially our most versatile back up player. Having a back up player a competant as he is cannot be overstated. Having an experienced and talented LB who can also play in other areas of defense and midfield could honestly be the difference between 6-12 points a season

I'm getting incredibly worried by so many of our fan base trying to offload Oviedo. It's a gigantic error if we allow that to happen. He's done enough to enjoy full support from the fan base and anything less is viciously unfair

This isn't a Kone or Alcaraz case, where he came in crocked and get's consantly injured for silly things

He suffered a simply horrific leg break, quite possibly one of the worst ones I've ever see. To suffer that and still come back pretty much as good as he was before he went down was impressive and it was just rotten luck that he got hurt again last season.

He's not injury prone. He suffered one absolute belter of an injury and one other since then. He's never put a foot wrong for the side when he's played and having a player as good as him to call on when needed is a huge plus for the side

I hope all this silly talk of selling him falls by the wayside as the summer months come to a close

As i said i like oviedo, i really do. And deleufeu does as well so thats good enough for me lol

I just think in the sense that Oviedo needs game time we might not be able to give it to him. I wouldn't want him being a bit part player only to perform terrible ala Hibbert vs Swansea simply because of lack of game time. My other worry long term is that he will be ahead of Garbutt in the left back queue which, although Garbutt is far from the finished article, needs to be the understudy for baines when he is at the club.

Doubt he nees games to bed back in, when he came back from the leg break he was a solid performer, probably our best player in the chelsea game. And on garbutt, hes still not a patch on either baines and oviedo despite a few decent corners, he needs the loan experience .

Dunno about 'gigantic error' mate. But no need to get rid no.

some writer for NBC thinks he should take over mexico haha
Mexico could go to the same domestic Liga MX well that drew out Herrera — Pedro Caixinha has produced several El Tri players from Santos Laguna, and the same can be said for Pachuca boss Diego Alonso — or they could go foreign. Another option will be international veteran, and could fired Portugal boss Paulo Bento fit the bill? Here’s a total wild card: David Moyes, who coaches Carlos Vela and Diego Reyes and Real Sociedad.

In any event, the who question is almost less important than the how long, as in, “How long until the powers-that-be get tired of the new guy?” Whether Herrera punched Martinoli in the neck or not, Mexico’s status quo is change. Consistency continues to elude the CONCACAF power, and this time it could cost them a major tournament.
