Moyes Watch @ Real Sociedad

Since I have been watching Everton we have had 9 full time managers in my opinion I would rate them as follows:
1 Kendall
2 Catterick
3 Royle
4 Bingham
5 Lee
6 Moyes
7 Harvey
8 Smith
People may disagree with that order and I know managers all have worked under different circumstances but thats the way I see ,I would not ever want to see Moyes back to me he is mid table manager who lacks a winners mentality.Martinez can only be judged when he has gone.
Mike Walker not even counted as full time then?

He'll probably get fired within a month, unless he miraculously gets points from Seville and Barca.

Any animosity I had for him after he joined Utd has gone now....I'm pretty dis-interested. He treaded water with us for his last couple of years...I reckon he got frustrated that the board couldn't get finances to really allow him to push the top 4 which resulted in the comments of "knife to swordfight" and "a club like everton should be happy with 7th". He gave us some good times, for a while we played some decent stuff, but ultimately he didn't have the managerial ability to stop players bottling big games. He'll either come back to prem and take over Newcastle when Mclaren gets dinged, or Celtic.

Moyes did well for us, stabilising the club and turning it from a bottom half of the table club to a top half one. But he didn't get success, and he didn't try and get his teams to play attractive football. It was, for the most part, sterile and reactive football. Not in our traditions.

That in no way could ever proof him against attack after he'd made great efforts to publicly humiliate Everton when he left in order to feather his own nest at United. If he'd been a roaring success at Everton, winning trophies and playing a scintillating brand of footy, I dare say those words would have have been forgotten (though not forgiven) and we'd all move on. But that's not the case, and he's dead in the water in terms of legacy. Imo.

There were the odd occasions under Moyes when we did play some excellent stuff, at pace, with a swagger and they gave us glimpses of what we could be if we really thought positively. The 7-1 v Sunderland, the Larissa home game to name just two. I would concede that he was negative, safety first and defensively minded and ultimately, that cautious approach cost us dearly.

What's a shame for Moyes and us is that he did much more good for us than bad. We'll be the best years of his career when he looks back, but due to his own unnecessary arrogance and general behaviour in the months following his departure, at best, his relative success at our club will now always come in the form of qualified praise.

can't resist a list!

1 Royle (can't argue with a trophy, and one season was 6th)
2 Moyes (consistently best-of-the-rest in the Sky-era is a very good achievement, still was time for him to go)
3 Martinez (that 1st season was great, last season was mostly utter bland, this season looks like it might meet in the middle)
4 Kendall II (having just missed out on Kendall MK1, i was left disappointed...in hindsight an ok run)
5 Harvey (it has to be said he took the reigns and then our domination terminally wilted, still some decent games tho')
6 Kendall III (clearly worse than his second reign but the club was in a sorry state back then)
7 Smith (so so boring, at times entirely NEA)
8 Walker (oh dear)
