Moyes Though ?

We already saw moyes was never going to win anything here, martinez might not either. Even if martinez ends up failing, bringing back moyes won't make us winners. Not to mention the way he left. Things he said, etc. Alot of the people who dislike martinez say he's not good enough for Everton and lowers expectations, moyes is much worse in that respect with his glass ceiling comments.

And which player do we have that can produce the goods week after week? We've gone from buying the right player for the right position to sign anyone who flashes in the light! Well I guess that it's not really wrong to say that he signed anyone who was a player. He reshaped the squad and made it worse on the field.

You said on another message that Moyes had worked in a time where teams couldn't spend. Well, neither did we! So we were on pair and doing a lot better with the same sort of resources.

I wonder what would Moyes have done had he been given the money to sign Lukaku... Well, Martinez had money like Moyes never had. And worse than that, Martinez had money because of Moyes. Moyes always had to invent his own resources. He had to sell Rooney, for example, to build a better side. He had to sell Lescott when he got full international honours. Hell, he bought and sold Fellaini with a nice profit which allowed Martinez to sign all the junk he had at Wigan.

Martinez is an incomplete manager with a couple of good ideas but with a big experience gap when it comes to training according to his football model. The team is unbalanced and doesn't do a great job pressing high in the pitch as it allows a lot of counters to it's opponents.

Moyes wasn't a stylish manager with a stylish game plan. But he had a consistent team and he improved the quality of the squad, as he did about the quality of our play, year after year.
Tl;dr in all seriousness though Moyes didn't have a vision in my mind. Think he was simply going through the motions and I'd rather have someone with a vision have a go and fail and we regroup than go through years of knowing absolutely nothing of note was coming our way. Also in terms of team building Moyes didn't have the idea I think Martinez has in that give youth a chance, invest in it, and if it didn't come off we'll make a whole hell of a lot in transfer fees and maybe that sways the books in favor of a McDuck level of investment.

NO.

That sort of thinking ends up up with a Monk, Holloway or Rodgers. They equally had a good season and were flavour of the month once upon a time.....
Yep. Let's make a list of managers who everyone thought was amazing until their 2nd season in charge (I guess you could include Martinez in that list, mind you).

Id just like to see someone come in and see what they could do with possibly the best side we have had since the 80s. I wouldnt want moyes back if im being honest but i do think he would do better than martinez.
we all know that bill will never sack martinez though so theres no point arguing whos better.

Everyone is cry arseing about Bobby but not one person on here has yet come up with a viable, realistic replacement. I asked yesterday whether Brendan Rodgers would be an option.... thread was immediately shut down. I understand why ... to a point.... but at least it was a reasonable, realistic ( in a "he's available" way ) , option. Somebody please give me another option ??? Moyes ??? been there done that.

I don't think it's the supporters responsibility to come up with replacements it's the board's. I doubt too many Swansea fans were calling for Guidolin a while back.

Although I'm personally not ready to call for Bobby's head yet but my list would have Eddy Howe, Markus Weinzierl and Lucien Favre on it. Possibly also Sean Dyche and Aitor Karanka. But there are probably loads of good coaches around Europe that most of us don't know about.

Sean Dyche ???? come on, you're better than that.. you're not even trying now my friend.

There are managers out there that know how to coach a balance of attack and defend. Neither this current manager or Moyes can. That is what's needed next.

We are the only Club who will hold onto a Manager despite long periods of unrest.

If you think about it, only City and Arsenal have held onto their managers in this time, and one of these will be gone by seasons end.
