With Moyes, we'd have Carrick, instead of Deulofeu, Giggs instead of Lukaku, Lampard instead of Lennon and Ferdinand instead of Funes Mori.
Based on? The signing of Neville on his prime?

He dithered over signings at United. Can't agree with the last comment to be fair as at least Moyes gave us in the mainstay a level of consistency which is higher than Roberto's.
Still, I'm really uncomfortable with the idea of having Moyes back for numerous reasons yet primarily because we're past him and his style now.
No discredit to Moyes as I had (and still do) have a lot of respect for the job he did here, but it was just too reserved. It was too rigid.
We'd all certainly like some of his defence coaching right now, however our increasing attacking ability would ultimately be shackled.
He met a glass ceiling and whether he had more money or not I still think it would in some form be there, as if simply sitting back in the fold.
We need a balance of the attacking prowess we've shown with some responsibilities with regards to defence and I don't think we'd get it with him.
Add to that the relationship between him and the fans would certainly not be as strong as it was in the past. No from me sorry...
Based on a track record of getting cheap players either crocked or past their prime, nominally off United in exchange for someone quality.Based on? The signing of Neville on his prime?
Think that's slightly unfair to be fair. Until Martinez, many an Evertonian would talk quite highly of the what Moyes achieved in the market.Based on a track record of getting cheap players either crocked or past their prime, nominally off United in exchange for someone quality.
To be fair to him - that's the way our budget constrained us for most signings - but then Martinez has been under the same budget to bring in who we have now.

What does the skew the stats some what is that those results were spread out over a 10 year period
They really were few and far between
That being said, I wouldn't want Moyes back. That ship has sailed

We have loads of money to spend.
Not in a million years would i take him back.
I just think of his send off every time i think of him.. and i genuinely cringe.
And weve got a trophy to play for still.. and moyes hasnt a clue how to bag one..
A friendly charity match doesn't count.
I agree. I'm in no way suggesting we should have Moyes back as I mentioned, but rather was saying I'd not rather have Martinez than Moyes.Moyes may have made us more consistent but I think we would always stand more chance of winning a trophy under Martinez than we would Moyes. Moyes has a loser mentality and seemingly always went into games fearing the worst. For a club like us that is not good enough for me.
To be fair, I'll happily admit that Moyes was good with his signings, but to be fair, it's fair for anybody to see that the sort of signings Martinez has brought in have been exciting - even if, to be fair, they're not solid.Think that's slightly unfair to be fair. Yes many of them were mainly defensively in the terms of Coleman, Jagielka, Baines and Stones, but they're pretty shrewd signings to be fair.
Let's not forget the likes of Martyn, Mirallas, Cahill, Fellaini and Oviedo as well. They may not be as flamboyant as Martinez but he didn't too badly.

I suppose the problem we are viewing is that we've gone from one dour extreme to the other attack at all costs but lose extreme. To be fair.

Alcaraz, Kone, Eto, McGeady (can I say Niasse here?), No.
At least half of our current starting lineup are still Moyes players. I'm not advocating for Moyes' return, just interesting to see that.
