In for the following....

-he saved us from the abyss and took us into europe
- some of our better players are probably only there cos he is
- he can only p*ss with the c*ck he's got. Sack him and we will still have a tiny ill-balanced squad with the attacking potency of an asthmatic duck.
- no one else decent would come in to replace him anyway (the Owen Coyle could do a job for us brigade have gone quiet over the last few months.....)
- a new manager would surely sell Hibbo and i'm itching to riot

That's a common trait, right or wrong, in a "priveleged' environment...you don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Do you think he's a Yes Man? I'd say he's been pretty clever most of the time. Made disgruntled noises every now and then when he's felt he's needed to. Been politically astute in that way.

Yes, we all get frustrated by the caution but his hands have been tied by financial penury at a time when other clubs have money to spend. Who else would have been able to keep Arteta and Pienaar in L4?

It's the club not the manager, lads. Open your eyes.

Soz mate, but Moyes isn't just a pawn. He decides to a certain degree where the club's money goes, and whether, for example, to prioritise wages over acquisitions. He's also had a few years to plan the development of his squad like, Mikel and Stevie P were never going to be around forever.

= a new manager would surley sell Hibbo and i'm itching to riot

I agree with this so much that I'm scratching my head that it wasn't me that wrote it.

No, I don't think he really is...I get the feeling this latest fit of resignation is down to the realisation that their gamble got shot to sh*t when the economy tanked. We couldn't afford a lot of the buys we've made over the last 5 years, even with the Lescott etc money. But, as always, that's just a guess.

Some good points there, mate.

Fans can be happier than a manager after a game. A manager shouldn't be happier than the fans. And Moyes was happier than us yesterday.
