Moyes STILL hasn't signed.

This all day long. If Moyes went (and I'd rather he didnt) then I'm confident we'll get a very good replacement. Given the attitude of the owners at the likes of Chelsea and Man City, we are as good as it'll get for a huge number of managers that want to be in the premiership. I think the only negative bit would be someone being anxious about stepping in directly after Moyes' 10 year stint.

Before last Jan and the transfers and improvement in play I was much more in the Moyes out camp. Now I'm happy with what I see on the pitch but still relaxed in the view that replacing him isn't the miracle job some seem to think

Couldn't have put it better lid!!!

The fact you get time at Everton will not be insignificant to a lot of managers home and abroad either.

I'm sure it has already been stated but personally I think the reason he hasn't signed his contract yet is as a warning against the board.

With the current crop of players the club has a genuine chance of achieving Champions League football next year. Moyes has said that no Everton players are for sale. Even if it means making sure he is given all of the money from player sales to reinvest into the team, I fully expect Moyes to exploit his contractual situation to the teams advantage through the January transfer window.

I think Moyes uses it to get the best deal for himself TBH. I can't remember us making too many big signings after he hung on last time.

Any other Chairman would have already made a shortlist of replacements. Its his responsibility at this stage to do so.
I'd be sad to see him go, but we'd move on.

I doubt Kenwright has even considered replacements.

But we can speculate can't we.

Laudrup would be good for us. Though plenty would argue he has more chance of success at little old Swansea.

Martinez would be favourite I'd imagine, but I'm still not convinced by him

Both of the above would be realistic targets though

Are people on this forum insane!! We are playing the best football in a couple decades,we are above Liverpool and the club seems quite stable!
Remember when people were saying how come Blackburn can get investment and Everton can't.
Watch what you wish for,you just might get it!!!!

Oh look, it's this stupid line of reasoning again.

I agree with most of that, but being above Liverpool doesn't carry that much 'gravitas' - if that's the word I want - these days.

I've heard a rumour Moyes has bought a bungalow in Germany. Can't reveal my source though.

What is the German connection with Moyes? I dont understand it. He has said one day he would like to manage in Germany, but why? Does he speak German? Does he have German roots or what?

Just an admirer for a while i think. It would suit his management style i think tbh. No real glass ceiling with regards to league a straight run for the cup. Schalke would certainly bank roll him, thats a scary thought.
