Had we won on Sunday we would be in 6th and people would be lauding the great job he's done.

Matching the likes of Brighton and brentford are a decent objective for this season. We have just emerged from a very turbulent few years both on and off the pitch. A top half finish is on the cards and I'd say we're 50:50 in Europe next year which would be a great achievement.

Yes, there are justified criticisms around the treatment of some players, be it the continued fitting square pegs in round holes like O'Brien at full back, McNeil playing or players not getting picked like Dibling and a completely absent Aznou... But these are also directed at the scouting team as a whole.

We'd be mad to not continue with him for at least another season

Had we won at home against Sunderland in the FA Cup and then won the previous rounds we would be in the Semi Final of the FA Cup.

We tend to sack managers when we fall into the bottom 3, including the likes of Koeman, Silva.

I think the same would be true of 80% of the league.
In retrospect though, we'd have been so much better off if we'd stuck with both Koeman and Silva instead of sacking mid-season. We could've parted ways with them the following summer with a real long-term plan. Truthfully we weren't in serious relegation fights in either 17-18 or 19-20. The same is true now. Getting rid of Moyes isn't the issue so long as we have a legit long-term plan in motion for his successor and its not just a case of sacking him because some of our fans don't care for him and might turn funny if he stays.

Next year is make or break as it always has been. Get into Europe or that’s the end. This ownership will not keep Moyes around for an extra 5 years to keep bumping his head against the glass ceiling.
