stay obviously. we are building something

but ye lets bring in another tinpot manager like silva or koeman who don’t get the club at all and meander into nowhere again

I'm happy for him to go but I'd want a definite upgrade first and foremost, not some daft gamble. Until we have that, then Moyes will have to do.
This is it for me, we get rid of Moyes and bring in say a Glasner or Iraola and they get off to a bad start leaving us in the bottom half/bottom 3, those that called for them will quickly turn on them and want them out and then we’re in the cycle yet again

Is that true though?
The last 7 years of managerial upheaval was largely down to Moshiri’s hair trigger or outright terrible choices.
Prior to that period, I’d say fans have generally been pretty patient with Managers.

We tend to sack managers when we fall into the bottom 3, including the likes of Koeman, Silva.

I think the same would be true of 80% of the league.

Had we won on Sunday we would be in 6th and people would be lauding the great job he's done.

Matching the likes of Brighton and brentford are a decent objective for this season. We have just emerged from a very turbulent few years both on and off the pitch. A top half finish is on the cards and I'd say we're 50:50 in Europe next year which would be a great achievement.

Yes, there are justified criticisms around the treatment of some players, be it the continued fitting square pegs in round holes like O'Brien at full back, McNeil playing or players not getting picked like Dibling and a completely absent Aznou... But these are also directed at the scouting team as a whole.

We'd be mad to not continue with him for at least another season

If one of them were to be sacked here next season, we'd then be in the position of paying 3 managers simultaneously. This sort of thing is generally lost on some though it would seem. It's why the interim has become more of a thing. It was unheard of not so long back. Clubs would appoint a caretaker, and move to appoint a permanent asap. Managers are on big money these days though. Getting rid of Moyes would effectively be a £30 million player you couldn't sign on a five year deal. Not to mention the basic waste of paying him £6 million for next season to do absolutely nothing for us.

This summer you have Glasner and Irola available and possibly De zerbi, who would all be better for us then Moyes

If you did a tier list Moyes would be B tier

I mean yeah, but we didn't. Like we didn't win some winnable matches too, earlier, like we didn't in the cup. These things stack up, if we'd had 3 more wins we'd be laughing at 4th, but we didn't for one reason or another. We failed to beat Wolves twice, we've been shocking at home all year, losing/drawing games we should by all means be winning, etc.

It's still a good job he's doing but the pedestal he's on is a bit weird.
