Just have to see how it plays out then.
The fact he's played in all 3 games and started twice might have already changed his thinking.

Whatever is best for the lad though, I would prefer he stayed now and forced himself in to Moyes plans..

He's had enough gametime on loan this season, and you can see he isn't fazed at all with the step up..
Moyes wants things his way. That means he'll send him back to PNE regardless at what cost to us.

Pepple need to accept the validity of the statement that Moyes looks after Moyes. He doesn't look after Everton, that's incidental to looking after Moyes.

Well if you find the interview than let me see it and than I'll give my opinion on it..
If it was before the Brentford game than he probably wasn't expecting to see what he now has in him.

If i think it comes across bad I'll say it, i wont just try and make an excuse for him. I just know that people can take what they want to take from a statement..

Weird take.

My take is Armstrong needs to return to Preston to carry on his loan and development when we have players back.

And his first managerial role was Preston, he'd like to see them promoted.

Who'd have thought it?
He’s not being paid millions by Preston though is he?

Armstrong already looks a cut above some of our midfielders

When the season is fully over within the next 5 games and we are around 16th . We will go on a brilliant run the last 10 games and win 6 of them to get us upto 12th .

Then talks about what could have been will commence and Coleman will stress that we need to take this good form into next season and push to get back to where we belong.

Rinse and repeat.
Nailed on. Another round of mediocrity it is.

Also, signing Seamus alone made me want to fire Moyes. Nothing against Seamus, it was just a massive slap in the face that we didn't sign another right back and thought retaining a senile Irishman was the solution.

Top ten / bottom half.

I've had enough of that feller over two spells to know he's never getting Everton success, so I suppose we'll have to wait maybe a couple of seasons to see whether they hire someone who can.

*sigh*
Well the first time they had to hire someone they picked a manager with a well known glass ceiling. It didn't scream ambition to me then and I don't see them rushing to change it yet.

I think he's just our lot for this and another season and these are the weeks we will have to put up with. By next year this poll will have swung down another 20% and they will have to move him on at the end of this contract.

What do you think he said then because those are the words i heard from him in his press conference straight after we brought him back
That
1. Harrison had made good developmental progress at ONE and he had been reluctant to interrupt it.
2. Had it not been for injury's and / or AFCON he'd have stayed at PNE.
3. That the injuries and AFCON situation resolved itself and those players return fit prior to the end of Jan in which case Harrison can return to PNE unless he has made such an impact that dictates that he should stay.
4. Shock , horror , yes Moyes wants his old team to be promoted too.

There are many sticks to beat Moyes with but this ain't one of them.

Think we'll agree to disagree

No, it was after the win at Bournemouth when he scored. The Sky interviewer said: "You are just on loan here" and he replies "Yeah, of course, but they've taken me to their hearts".

This has never been long term and I'd be very surprised if he stays.

Assuming we don't get Europe, I'd consider moving on in the summer, especially if the man that the owners ultimately want is available / achievable.

It's not that we had to achieve anything other than stability this season, but feels like an oppurtunity wasted. Going out immediately in both of the cups as well just leaves a sour taste.

I like Moyes, but he's probably too old to really be in this for the long haul anyway, nor will he magically start playing younger players or making subs earlier and more proactively.

I think you are spot on. What's grim is not so much having to put up with weeks like this, it's that it's entirely predictable how this is going to play out (you've just set it out above) and so we will waste another 12 months grinding away until the above crystallises. What a waste of time. And it's all down to the lack of ambition of these owners.

Was asked for this by @blue to the bone earlier in the week, but I think now is the time for the Moyes poll...

Stay or go?
Went stay, one season more for Davey to show improvement to the current status.

- He didn't invent the PTSD that runs through a squad of very mixed quality / experience, mostly raised in relegation

- But his tactical limitations remain

- The fight/ organization strengths of Moyes v1 are not super apparent in this team, yet.

Give him 3 windows ( inc this one ) to resolve it. if we're not in touching distance of Europe then , which is essential for getting in the right players, call it a day.

I don't believe that DM leaving this summer is even on the agenda. The club has been stabilised compared to previous years but there is still plenty to be done.

I think he will see out his contract and then be replaced by a younger manager.
