We only have 16 players in the squad that have more than 10 appearances for the club, including Velios who has a sum total of two starts, and of the others only naismith and Mucha could be called senior players. So, a squad of 18 and a few youngsters. If that isn't threadbare then I don't know what is. And people want us to sell Anichebe and Heitinga and god knows who else. I think Anichebe's an awful player but we will be struggling to put out a team with 7 subs at this rate.

People need to read this. The squad has been whittled down bit by bit since the season ended. Even before Rodwell went it was a crisis, now post-Rodwell and the heavy hints that other(s) also wiill go before September it's turning into a calamitous summer.

"Wake up" ? What does it matter who's "awake" about the situation. Can we change it ? NO. Are we in charge of the club ? NO Do we know if we will bring in more players ? NO. SO what use is "Waking up" may as well try and pretend we are O.K as there is sweet fek all we can do about it, unless everyone got onside to get Kenwright out. As i don't see that happening...

If we're selling one quality player each season then we need to sign 2 with more potential....

Rodwell didn't go to the Olympics because he had a recurring injury problem that they were struggling to get to the bottom of. How can they be sure that it's fixed if he hasn't played competitively since? If he'd spent another season with us in and out of the treatment room his value and reputation would have really suffered. I would expect that it was one of the big motivating factors why we decided to cash in on him now and not because we needed the money.

Straq didnt play 27 games, your on ACTUAL CRACK LAD.

He might have been on the pitch 27 times, but im fairly sure his total minutes on the pitch was less than 3 hours.

Only Cahill will be "missed" and hes been "replaced" by Naismith.

None of the others are or where anything remotely looking like a first teamer.

Crazy Crazy reponse to facts. Your right there is another half dozen players who are not 1st team players so we should let them go as well.

We have brought in Naismith to replace Cahill.

Then we sell one of our most saleable assets that doesn't look like he'd have got much playing time this year and it's all doom and gloom!

Seriously, we have sold Rodwell - would you rather Baines or Fellaini had gone??

Good business all round I say, get rid of someone who was going to warm the bench this season, bring in one or two others that can push for a 1st team place.

I know it's silly season too, I know we've now been linked with Adam Johnson and Clint Dempsey.

Imagine if we got those two in - Johnson on loan (season long) and Dempsey permanently - would you say then selling Rodwell was a bad idea??
