The club controlled revenue has gone from £32m to £27.7m over the 7 year period – a decline of 12.7% at a time when the Premier League has exploded. This performance goes agains the trend of other Premier league clubs.

The more I think about it the more I am sure that Moyes is going after the let down of the Jan transfer window.

Bill seems to want to let everyone think that he is standing by his manager when in reality he pissed of Moyes in Jan.

So there you have it.

When you talk in percentages its easy to confuse things. For example if premier league revenue goes up, comparatively the amount generated by the club if it stays the same would appear to be less as a percentage, even if it hadn't changed.

Equally if the club generated more money but finance outside their control such as TV deals etc increases by substantially more, the percentage of revenue generated by the club would show a decline.

I've read and re-read this 5 times and can't see anything past he is definitely going. Otherwise, he would just come out and say "if we get into Europe I'll stay, if not I will go". It's not rocket science, David. Just put your balls out and chips on the table and be clear with everybody. Keeping quiet with the "anything is possible" mentality is first of all very Wenger-ish and secondly devalues the work and respect that you have worked 11 years to achieve.

From 2002 to 2012, which is 10 seasons, Moyes has spent 453.93 million pounds on bringing in and paying himself, his coaches and his players.

So in ten top flight seasons that's 45 million pounds per season available to the first team.

You think less than 7 other english clubs have had that money to spend for every year they've been in the top flight in the last eleven years. I reckon about 15 clubs will have had more.

Be interesting to compare to the other clubs. Thanks for sharing anyway.

Personally I got the impression that when Moyes twice threw an arm in the air in the direction of the Goodison Road crowd when the second goal went in was more of an 'up yours' rather than a celebration that we were all in it together.

If we finish outside the European places, will Moyes leave? Is that's what is going on. Seems like he's got some options and wants to not commit to us basically but if we make CL which is unlikely or maybe Europa he might stay.

Or it could just be he's on such a big pay packet anyway him and Bill have decided there's no need to enter negotiations until the end of the season.

After this, it will be hard to imagine a Moyes reinvigorated by a new contract up for the task of selling a Fellaini and shopping for bargains again.

Guess we have to wait til the Chelsea game is over, to see what Moyes thinks.

Are you defending the 12.7% decline in controlled revenue( From 2007 ), because we got more money from Sky??

He's gone. It's the right time in my opinion, his comments have been doing my head in recently. Think this is probably why we didn't spend in January. We can't really justify spending millions on players a new manager might not want.
